Now, we’re not poetry analysts, but we think what Mr Chris Rea is expressing in this ode, is the longing for a good opportunity to drink a rosé. We’ve all been there; in the midst of winter, there’s rain on Chris’ window and he’s dreaming of sunshine and a light, vibrant rosé with flavours of bright red berries and white flowers layered on a silky textured palate. Never fear Chris, we’ve got you covered!"

Since 1965 Marreon Lubreon & Ventoux has united 650 wine growers across the Rhone and Provence into co-operatives. Working across 4200 hectares of vineyards in the Regional Natural Park, recognised by UNESCO as a natural biosphere reserve, Marreon are focused on developing premium wines with a true sense of place and a respect for environment.

The Rosefine wines are made from grapes selected from Luberon and Ventoux at an altitude between 300 and 500m. The production of the wines focuses on bringing out their aromatic intensity and freshness on top of consistently appealing bodies. Grapes are harvested at night to preserve the wines aromatics and freshness.

The nose is elegant with flavours of citrus and floral notes. In the mouth, the style is very lush and pleasant with a long and delicate finish on the palate. Freshness and delicacy are the key words for this Cuvée.

🍷🍷🍷Wine of the Week🍷🍷🍷This is why you have to love Burgundy; you can say what you like about the beautiful new world Pinots of Oregon or New Zealand, but do you know when this family began making wine? 1529! Do you know what else was happening in 1529? Henry VIII was trying to negotiate his divorce from Catharine of Aragon! That's right boys and girls, this winery was formed when Henry VIII hadn't even been divorced! Never mind the beheaded, died or the divorced, beheaded, survived. Ann of Cleves was on the cover of Vogue! Greensleeves was top of the chats for the 104th straight week! If Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard can't make a good Pinot there is genuinely no hope for the rest of us. Thankfully they did, here's to 600 years of Burgundian winemakers!

As we may have already stated, the Girards are one of Savigny-les-Beaune’s oldest wine making families. Jean-Jacques is the current custodian of the wine dynasty, who runs the domaine with his wife Agnes and has recently been joined by his eldest son Vincent. The grapes, grown in the world-renowned region of Aloxe-Corton, are hand-harvested before being fermented with wild yeast, for a period of 2 weeks. The wine is then aged in 15% new oak for 15 months. The resulting wine has an aromatic nose of fresh raspberries and stewed dark cherries. Beautifully balanced with both a subtle hint of spice and a crisp refreshing acidity. This wine is drinking beautifully now but could be cellared for a further 5 years. Currently on offer from £39 to £32!!!! Open 11-8

🚨🚨🚨TASTING ALERT! 🚨🚨🚨Known as the 'heartbreak' grape, Pinot Noir is notoriously difficult to grow because its thin skin makes it susceptible to an array of threats. But when handled with the right care and attention, these delicate little grapes can be crafted into incredible wines. The rolling hills of the vineyard, for example, benefit from the cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean, helping create the ideal climate to grow premium grapes. The result is a fruit-forward Pinot Noir, rich with flavours of black cherries, cranberries, cloves, to***co and just a touch of caramel and vanilla. Lush and full, the only thing heartbreaking about this wine is that there isn't enough of it!Pop by the shop for a taste!! Open 11-8

📢📢📢Tasting Alert📢📢📢 Pop by the shop this weekend and taste with us a delicious orange wine made from organic verdejo grapes which, unlike white wines, are macerated and fermented with their skins to add subtle tannins, citrus flavours, and a characteristic ginger colour. Razor-sharp freshness, combined with a little extra grip from the tannin means the Ginja Ninja packs a punch like a slap in the face with a nun chuck!

The grapes for this spectacular wine are picked from vineyards grown under strict organic growing criteria in a balanced, caring and sustainable way. The vineyard’s soils play a major role which favour rapid assimilation of reincorporated organic matter.
This enables full terroir expression. 🍷

This fabulous gin is named after the iconic Ha’ Penny Bridge in Dublin. It shows a wide displays of aromas featuring; Geranium, Dandelion, Lavender and Blackberry, all botanical's which would have been growing in the nearby Phoenix Park in Victorian times when the bridge was built. Well-rounded with a slight citrus and floral aroma. This Dublin Dry Gin is produced in small batches and pot distilled using 13 specially selected botanical's to create a uniquely, Dublin inspired Gin. Is available in the shop for only £30!

📢📢📢Wine Tasting📢📢📢Sometimes tasting notes can seem so far-fetched you wonder whether the writer is actually taking you for a ride. If we were to say that the intense fragrance of this lovely Pinot Noir has the perfumed cedarwood spice that might best be reminiscent of the most expensive and exclusive eau de cologne, you might just baulk at the suggestion! But it's the kind of character that sets this fragrant Burgundy wine apart and makes it Pinot with personality. A wine for flashes of personal expression.

The Nuiton-Beaunoy cave co-operative can draw from vineyards held by its 115 members across Burgundy to produce this red wine. It is fermented and matured on its lees in stainless steel vats. Pop by the shop and taste this beautiful wine yourself, open 11-8 everyday.

🚨🚨🚨Wine of the Week🚨🚨🚨 Syrah Varone, another superb creation from the Varone family in Switzerland. This wine showcases a bursting flavour profile on the nose, which includes black fruits, cherries, spices, black pepper, scents of garrigue, lavender, rosemary, black olives and notes of cocoa. On the palate it gives a silky attack, a beautiful structure, with fine and dense tannins. It is incredibly delicious and it Is on offer until the end of the month!!! What are you waiting for?!!
