The Fine Wine Company Online and local independent wine merchant The Fine Wine Company Ltd was founded in 2003.

When we first started, we believed that there was the need for a good, down to earth, friendly and helpful specialist wine shop offering a range of interesting wines from mostly smaller producers. A sort of antidote to the increasing anonymity and sameness of the big chain stores.

Ardnamurchan Madeira Cask Release 2025 🥃

This much-requested bottling is comprised of malt matured in bourbon casks which were filled in early 2018. A ratio of approximately 60/40 of unpeated to peated spirit was then re-racked into Madeira casks just over two years ago. These casks were vatted just prior to reaching 7 years old and bottled at 52% ABV, yielding just under 19,000 bottles in this batch.
As always, Ardnamurchan whiskies are un-chill filtered and of natural colour.

The tasting notes for this batch are:
Nose Cocoa powder, stewed plums, sugared almonds, bread and butter pudding, nutmeg, sandalwood, bracken, fruit scone, red currants.
Palate Cinnamon sweets, cedar bark, salted trail mix with chocolate chips, rosemary stalks, toffee apple, pine needles, strawberries with black pepper.
Finish Medium weight, dusty, long and slightly drying finish.

This well balanced New England Pale Ale amplifies flavour like a resonator enhances sound. Vibrant in colour with a crisp finish, Resonator is tuned to the right frequency, offering an easy-drinking experience.

🔵 Tumbling Dice Style Double IPA 8.0%

In collaboration with Deya Brewing from Cheltenham. This DIPA is inspired by the Rolling Stones song from their 1972 album, Exile on Main St. Using fresh New Zealand Hops, this beer tantalizes the senses with its juicy character.

🔴 Weegie Style IPA 5.5%

We’ve brought back Weegie, a beloved session IPA in our range. This hazy and refreshing brew is a delightful mix of pineapple and mango flavours, with hints of citrus, stone fruit, and pine. Welcome back, Weegie, the first in our Looper Rebrew Series, where we revisit and refine our classic favourites for an even fresher experience.

Nose: Rich vanilla and some dark fruits, a little sweet spice and vanilla with a hint of orange and peach. 

Palate: Smooth with the classic Speyside richness of Honey and some sweet ginger, sherry notes and soft cookies, some ruby chocolate and almond flakes, a warming smooth soft start to the finish, A big build-up of rich aromatic flavours add to a lingering enjoyable finish.

🔴 Fish In The Percolator Pale Ale

Pale ale dry hopped with Motueka T90, our first use of The Bruce, Rakau T90, and Galaxy T90. Exotic citrus compounded with high notes of lime and tangerine. This is a damn fine cup of coffee.

Vault City x Hard Lines – Salted Caramel Crema ☕

Introducing one half of a bold and decadent duo, showcasing the latest evolution of Crema Imperial stout series.

A rich blend of chocolate malt, wheat and oats creates a smooth and luxurious mouthfeel, while additions of Weyermann® Carafa® Special III and Melanoidin malt blend with brown sugar and Belgian dark syrup to form layers of deep caramel and toffee notes.

This sweetness is balanced with additions of Hard Lines Peru Seasonal Coffee which infuses complex flavours of red fruits, toffee, and toasted biscuit. Finally, a pinch of sea salt and East Kent Goldings hops tie it all together.
