🍷ON TASTING THIS WEEKEND🍷 We like to think of the wines of Canon-Fronsac as the Samwise Gamgee of Bordeaux. Sure, it might not have the glamour of Pomerol or Saint-Emilion but you know what? When your backs up against the wall and a giant spider's coming at you, you can rely on good old Canon-Fronsac.

Other than disconcertingly poor Lord of the Rings references, this wine offers wonderful value for money, showing delicious flavours of damson, dark cherry, bramble and liquorice. Thank you, Canon-Fronsac you've made an awe-inspiring wine and your spirit guide, Samwise, was the only reason we managed to defeat Sauron.

1805 is when everything started. The De Cournuaud family built the vineyard, and as of the start of 2017 it has been the home to 9 generations of the family. Since 1994 Patrick de Cournuaud has been running the property. The family ethos is to maintain the heritage of both Chateau and the region, while also making modern and approachable Bordeauxs. Mazeris is situated at the top of the town of Saint Michel de Fronsac, in the heart of the AOC Canon-Fronsac, at an altitude of 70 meters. Today, 17 ha of vines are in production, with 80% of Merlot and 20% of Cabernet-Franc. Half of the vineyard surface is cultivated with herb between the rows to keep a good microbiological life in the soils. The wine is currently showing youthful flair, with bright notes of dark berries balanced with well-integrated flavours giving an excellently structured and approachable wine. 🍷

🥂ON TASTING THIS WEEKEND🥂She's electric! She's got a sparkling beautifully scented. It's Canadian that I never expected, and I need more time!" Who knew those Gallagher Brothers were such big fans of Canadian Traditional Method sparkling wine? Then again, Spark does have delicious notes of pie crust, crisp green apple and citrus, so you can hardly blame them! 🍷 🇨🇦

🍷ON TASTING THIS WEEKEND🍷This Pinot Noir is hand harvested from vines aged between 55 to 86 years old, sorted to ensure only the best berries make it through to the production. Matured in demi-muid barrels to maintain the fresh fruit, exclusive to the Roche de Bellene vineyard.

The finished product is rich with flavours of black fruit and lavender on the nose, which continues onto the palate with bursts of blackcurrant. Refreshing black fruit to finish. 🍷

🍷ON TASTING THIS WEEKEND🍷 A lively, rich, round and creamy South Australian Chardonnay. Pale to yellow straw in colour, this wine boasts aromatic white nectarine, with with hints of peach and pear. The palate provides generous fresh stone fruit and honey dew melon with a hint of creamy short bread richness all brought together with moderate acidity to provide balance.

Built in 1845 and set among the gently undulating hills of Eden Valley, Park Homestead is the gathering point for family celebrations; its two carved stone griffins – said to protect all that is precious – feature on the wine’s labels.
The property captured the heart of their father, Grant, as he rode his horse through the region as a youngster and daydreamed of one day living there. Some years later while courting Helen, he proclaimed that if the opportunity ever arose, he would buy Corryton Park Homestead for her and their future family. Just a few years later the picturesque property had two new and delighted owners, with Grant turning his attention to the small but exceptional parcel of vines and Helen focusing on restoring the estate to its former glory.

🍷ON TASTING THIS WEEKEND🍷 This beautiful Shiraz from is deep ruby red with purple hues. It offers strawberry, raspberry and vanilla aromas. Rich fruit forward characters of raspberry and plums tantalise the palate. There is a soft toasty oak influence that enhances the vanilla and spice. Subtle tannins leave the palate quite moreish and a delight to keep coming back to.

🍷ON TASTING THIS WEEKEND 🍷 Behold Longview's standout Riesling wine. A wine that's pale in colour, incorporates the finesse of distinct kaffir lime and citrus aromas, whilst being pristine and focussed. The first taste of this Longview Riesling provides a light body with balancing sweetness, accompanied by a long and spicy finish.

is a stunning family owned Australian vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills. Set on undulating slopes reminiscent of classic old world estates, it has quickly established itself as one the most awarded vineyards in the region since its first vintage in 2001. 🔈NEW IN STOCK! 🔈. From the Vinho Verde country, this Tordo Alvarinho is a new style of Alvarinho. It's a lovely, rich example of this grape variety, and boasts hints of stone fruit aromas, fresh apple and tropical-fruit flavours. It offers refreshing acidity and roundly fruited palate with a long and plentiful finish.

The sub-region of Basto is the most inland of the Vinhos Verdes Region, at a high average altitude, thus sheltered from maritime winds. The soil is mostly granite, the perfect terroir for mineral wines. The climate is harsh, with cold and rainy winters and hot and dry summers, favouring most of the white grape varieties, especially Alvarinho, Loureiro, Arinto and Azal. The beauty of this rural area can only be compared to the stunning Tâmega river, which runs alongside all our vineyards. Available at £12.75

🥃 (pronounced "a-nock") is an award winning malt, made with traditional methods, but very modern in style. On the nose it's soft and aromatic with hints of honey and lemon in the foreground. On the palate it's initially sweet with and appetising fruitiness and a long smooth finish.

Creamy, with notes of wood polish, honeycomb, praline, wheat beer and brandy snaps. Alter Ego: Grace Kelly; Golden, sophisticatedly regal, award-winning and if you've broken your leg and you're stuck staring out of the rear window, it'll provide a great distraction. Dial M for Malt.

🍷🍷New in stock!!🍷🍷 The wine has a beautiful bright ruby colour. On the nose, an abundance of dried cranberry and raspberry with to***co and baking spice aromas fill the senses. GAVELOT was born from a dream: to marry the elegant French style of winemaking with the vibrant Southern expression. The production area of the Pays d’Hérault is hugely influenced by the river that gave it its name, the “Hérault”, whose spring can be found at an altitude of 1400m. It shaped the impressive canyon “Gorges de l’Hérault” where streams travel over 148km to reach the sea. The diversity of the region’s soils originates from the granite earth deposited by the river onto the limestone plains. The combination of soils and climatic conditions are perfect for producing rich, concentrated and ripe grapes. A total bargain at £10.50

🍷🍷ON TASTING TODAY!!🍷🍷 This brilliant wine is a naturally co-fermented red blend. It's been expertly aged in old French oak barrels for 12 long months. Cape Rock Red is lightly filtered at bottling to ensure its robust flavour profile. This wine has been carefully crafted by Cape Rock Wines.

Cape Rock Wines is situated 300km north from Cape Town and 30km east from Doringbaai on the West Coast between the towns of Vredendal and Klawer. The vineyards are located on a single 11 hectare farm just above the banks of the Olifants river floodplain. The Cape Rock brand was established in 2001 when they started to make bulk wine on their farm to add value to the grapes they grew for the cooperative. Their first Their total production currently varies between 12000 and 20 000 bottles per year depending on the yield and quality of the grapes.

The Cape Rock philosophy is simple; we aim to create wines that are balanced and speak of place. We aim to use varieties for their virtues, one ads spice, the other acid, tannin, colour, body etc. We will always try to make use of natural yeast to ferment healthy grapes and never use new barrels to age our wines. Some people believe that winemaking is about displaying textbook characteristics of what a variety should taste like in a certain area. For us wine is all about enjoyment and lightness, it should be a refreshing beverage. 🍷

🍷🍷 ON TASTING TODAY!!🍷🍷 The La Musa d'Abruzzo is a Montepulciano grape from Central Italy and is regarded as one of the best value, tasty Italian reds. An intense ruby red in colour, the d'Abruzzo offers a ripe cherry nose with a fruity pallet and soft tannins. One might find a hint of spice with cigar box richness. The wine has a great length and a finish that will quickly turn into a further, freshly poured glass.

began life in 1897 as a simple osteria serving wines to locals and workers. Caldirola’ headquarters and centre of commercial activity remains on the very same site in the small hamlet of Contra in the Comune of Missaglia, north of Milan. Ferdinando Caldirola and his son Gaetano bought the osteria in the 1940s and transformed it into an important centre for bottling and selling wine and other local products like cured meats. As the company developed its wine trade by buying and bottling wines from all corners of Italy throughout the second half of the 20th century, they were instrumental in developing coloured bottles to distinguish wines from different regions and styles.

3 family generations later, Caldirola has established itself as one of the largest Italian wine merchants in Italy, with an export market reaching across the globe.
Caldirola’s expertise reaches into sourcing wines and partnering with growers and co-operatives from regions all over Italy, from Piedmont to Tuscany, from Sicily to Abruzzo. They developed one of the most recognisable Italian retail brands in “La Cacciatora”, trusted for quality wines with reasonable prices, considerable choice and synonymous for various bottle shapes, sizes and recyclable bottles. 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌
