Nelson is the most prized New Zealand hop and loved for it’s vinous and tropical notes. Good Nelson manages to walk the line of balancing the fruitiness with the just right amount of herbaceous, and diesel notes. I get tons of guava and nectarine, but it’s complemented with dank hints of basil and diesel, and a subtle white wine note running throughout. It’s fruit forward, yet incredibly complex.
