Celebrate spring with the Tibaldi sisters — Monica’s in-store this Thursday!

Monica and Daniela Tibaldi are two sisters born and raised with the love of viticulture in the Roero in their blood, bringing a modern vision to their family vineyard while honoring timeless traditions. In 2014, they launched their own brand, becoming the faces of the winery. They credit their father Stefano and their grandfather Tunin for instilling the skills and values that have elevated the vineyard to a world-class level of excellence. The sisters now oversee every aspect of winemaking—from tending the vines and crafting the wines to managing sales and hosting wine tasting events—all while infusing their sisterly spirit into each and every bottle. 👯‍♀️

It’s a beautiful day for bubbles! 🥂(Tbh, we think most days fit the bill but today is really really nice out!) Tonight’s tasting with proves that Champagne’s not just for France! Well, technically it is, but methode champenoise — aka metodo classico — absolutely crosses borders, and finds some of its greatest proponents and practitioners in Italia. Racked, riddled, and disgorged, these are as elegant as their French counterparts while always maintaining their distinct Italian origins. It’s always a good time for bubbles...4 wines, 4 regions, 4 different regions.

Is it spring yet?!? We’re getting there, and this month’s wine club is designed to expedite at least the feeling of primavera… Fresh, fruit-forward, and high-toned reds (Roussese! Schiava! Premetta!) and sapid, sumptuous whites (Verdicchio! Trebbiano Spoletino!) have us ready for sunnier days ahead…

Rain or shine, we are so excited to have Christoph Kunezli of at the shop tonight! Christoph is widely credited with spearheading the Boca renaissance and Le Piane has been legendary almost since its founding in 1988. Today Christoph maintains the vineyards in the traditional way and makes wine without the use of modern technology. These wines speak the language of time gone by.

What a treat! We had such a fabulous time with Renate Seeber of Kuenhof at our first ever raclette night this past Monday. Kuenhof’s Veltliner, Riesling, and Sylvaner were the perfect complements to the evening’s meaty, meaty, mountain-inspired feast (shout out to neighbor for inspo and cheese sourcing!) Thank you, Renate, for sharing your Alto Adige knowledge and passion with everyone — we couldn’t have asked for a better hostess! 🗻🗻
