Fresh honeysuckle, quince, with slight nutmeg spice.

Palate:
Creamy, rich, and rounded. Moving towards candied orange, rose petals, and white pepper. Great balance of minerality & acid gives this Gewürztraminer freshness from start to finish.

BOTTOM LINE:
Give me MORE!

FUN FACTS:
Domain Weinbach was
established as a winery in 1612 by Capuchin friars!

The vineyards are surrounded by ancient walls & are specifically named Clos des Capucins.

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to be invited to Mesa College as a guest speaker to talk about Sensory Analysis of WINE for FERM 130.

Using the standard Deductive Tasting Grid from we tasted through 4 wines focusing on analyzing their sensory components.

Then we went further into the topic, in relation to country, region, climate, soils, viticultural practices, and winemaking.

I don’t know who had more fun the students or myself! The best part about being a Certified Sommelier is sharing the knowledge that you have acquired.
