We will try to send out more email newsletters going forward so keep an eye out for our emails. Final look at our beautiful bottle from Rare Character! This was a great pick by our Whiskey Club Members, and we hope to get more great barrels from Rare Character in the future. Our Elijah Craig Store Pick is online and in store now!

Limit 1 KOA. If you purchase more than 1 bottle, your order will be canceled and subject to a 10% fee. We now have it in either a combo with our Rare Character KOA or first come, first serve to those that hit 3 Store Pick Points (same requirements but removal of the password page). We have less than 20 bottles of KOA left!! Both are delicious so you just can’t go wrong with this deal!

KOA does not count as 1 Store Pick Point.
Elijah Craig SP does count as 1 Store Pick Point.

We changed our KOA to a combo since it’s more clear at the moment. We will continue testing our Password Protection to prevent password sharing and to prevent ordering of only limited bottles.

Our newest store pick will come in with bold flavors at 136.1 pf, and according to the founder Pablo Moix, there are only 18 barrels of KOA available. This is an 8 year 9 month old Kentucky straight bourbon with a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. Rare Character’s co-founder Pete came by our store and helped us pick this amazing barrel!

The Store Pick Points System is in place for our Weller Full Proof Store Pick at MSRP! This system is designed to reward our customers with limited store picks at reasonable prices. We have no ETA for the Weller Full Proof, but we have several more barrels coming in this year and early next year. Our ASW Fiddler Store Pick is currently the only bottle that can earn Store Pick Points. Make sure to try it out before we run out!

This is also only a portion of the allocations, as we plan on having approximately 150 allocations total. We might surprise with a super rare Unicorn if we can sell out of our upcoming Barrel Picks before the end of the year!

ASW Fiddler Heartwood Bourbon Store Pick: Selected by Unwind Bottle Shop

Georgia craft whiskey making an appearance in California! Now available online at unwindbottleshop.com!

Tasting Notes:

Nose: There is a recognizable rick house funk that, as expected due to the hot weather, is noticeably amped up for Georgia whiskies. Mixed in the funk is some dried fruit notes like prunes.

Palate: It arrives like an intense honey that has been infused with charred oak and laced with spices. The recognizable Georgia oak character is unmistakable.

Finish: The honey and syrupy notes give way to baking spices which make the mouth water and then tend back towards an intense sweet oak profile that lingers on and on.

Reminder: you have to be in the Hazmat Tier in order to have the opportunity to be randomly selected for our Unicorn Allocations which includes Van Winkle 10 at $150, Weller CYPB at $75, EH Taylor Barrel Proof at $100, and Four Roses Limited Edition at $230. You need to have 10,000 points before the end of 2024 in order to have Hazmat status for the remaining of this year and next year 2025! Once we enter 2025, you will need another 10,000 points during the year to be in Hazmat for 2026. In 2025, if you are not already in Hazmat, once you hit 10,000 points, you will join Hazmat for the remaining of 2025 and 2026.

Unwind Bottle Shop x Rare Character The cofounder of Rare Character, Pete Nevenglosky, stopped by and helped us pick two incredible barrels. RIO is distilled in Indiana for 8 years and coming in around 115pf. KOA is a new lineup for the brand that has not been released yet, so we are excited to have this come to the store. It is distilled in Kentucky for 8 years and around 130pf. They will be helping us design original artwork for the bottles, and our wax tops will be metallic copper and pastel orange.
