Over the years, our customers have known Jose for his jolly smile and warm embrace. Here he is pictured with his mother and older brother Ivan, who tragically passed away on July 1, 2024. I ask that you help shoulder the burden of losing a brother, and keep Jose and his mother in your prayers. The wake is Sunday 3-8pm at Farenga Funeral Home on Allerton Avenue. Mass is Monday 10am at St. Lucy’s Church.

Ferragosto is a way to convene our customers and supporters in a festival-like atmosphere and share what we have to offer as an authentic Little Italy. It’s a special day filled with rich culture, delicious food, live music, and amusing entertainment. 🍽️🎶

For over 25 years, we’ve waited until the Sunday after Labor Day to host the event as the weather is a bit cooler and people have returned from their summer vacations. In Italy, Ferragosto is celebrated on August 15th.

In ancient history, Ferragosto honored gods and goddesses to ensure a bountiful harvest. On Arthur Avenue, attendees love experiencing the neighborhood’s old-world charm and tradition of good taste.

Additional Parking is available at Fordham University 685 E Fordham Rd for $10 with a free shuttle to and from the event from 11am-7pm.
