Nunes Barata is a small winery located in Cabeção (Upper Alentejo, in the north region of Portugal). Because of exceptional terroir, is an area with a unique background in the production of high quality wines, full of character and is known for its famous wines made in clay pots. Here, the vineyard and the wine have been the main economic activity. The brothers Luís Miguel and José Manuel represent the seventh generation of the family Nunes Barata. The family has a strong tradition in the wine production business, that goes back to 1836. This wine is a blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet grapes with wonderful notes of cherries, plum, hints of cocoa and all spice, mushroom and leather. Elegant and dry, we recommend to decant it or open it ahead of your meal. Enjoy it with roasted meats and stews. This is a natural and unfiltered wine. The family has a long history dating back to the 1800’s in Carso, a northeastern region in Italy bordering with Slovenia. Today, brothers Euro & Elena Parovel produce excellent wines and extra virgin olive oil. Barde Poje Malvasia Istriana is the true expression of the Carso terroir, manually harvested, it spends 6-7 months on its fine lees, giving this wine an incredible aging potential or 8-10 years. The wines of Catalonia, Spain are fascinating. Montsant is recent DO (Denomination of Origin) awarded to the zone surrounding the famous hilly Priorat region, Montsant wines are much more reasonably priced, offering excellent quality. Cairats is a small winery located in the town of Darmos, a beautiful blend of Tempranillo, Grenache & Carignan, organically farmed and natural. Lovely notes of Catalan cherries, blackberries and leather, notes of spice and hints of cedar. We recommend to decant this wine or to open it an hour in advance before enjoying it! $29.99 per bottle & exclusively available
