New great Vintage, new great scores! 🥳

"75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby red/light purple. Rich aromas
of black cherry, black currant, bramble and black peony. Medium-full with
excellent concentration. Rich, beautifully structured wine with a generous midpalate,
velvety tannins, excellent persistence, nicely managed wood notes and
very good acidity. This has elements of modernity, but it has a clear Tuscan
identity, despite the varieties used in the blend. Seamless, with impeccable
harmony, this is so sultry now, but will clearly improve with time, with peak in 10-
12 years, perhaps longer. One of the year’s best red wines!"

Our 2016 has been appreciated, apparently!

老婆大人原本今年打算來英國一起過復活節假期，基於對另一半發自內心的敬愛，自然是立即備妥她平時喜歡喝的葡萄酒。
　　　
然而，隨著疫情在歐洲爆發，英國進入半封城的狀態，杜拜機場也在這兩天關閉，今年的復活節假期確定泡湯，只得一個人獨自在倫敦的家中度過。
　　　
想到這裡，我決定把之前冰箱裡準備好的 Asti 拿出來，喝掉！
　　　　
　　　
話說「Asti」本人其實是一個城市，是 Piemonte 大區 Asti省的首府。
　　　
大家熟悉的 Moscato d'Asti，如果直接照文字解構的話，意思是 Asti 這個地方所生產，以 Moscato 葡萄所釀造的甜微氣泡酒。
　　　
命名邏輯與麻豆文旦、台北蚵仔煎、台南牛肉湯，差不多是同一種概念。
　　　

「Asti」與「Moscato d'Asti」雖然使用的是相同的葡萄品種，卻是不同類型的葡萄酒。
　　　　　
Asti 採用的是與法國 Clairette de Die 相同的Dioise Method 釀造，僅做一次發酵，並在達到理想的酒精濃度時，透過降溫的方式中止發酵，發酵過程中的二氧化碳成為氣泡，剩餘殘糖則成為酒液中的糖分，屬於真正＂有氣＂的氣泡酒！
　　　

今天這瓶Ca d'Gal，原就是以 Moscato d'Asti 聞名，生產著世界上最貴的 Moscato d'Asti。雖然不是當家旗艦，但相對入門的價格，卻有著很高的性價比。
　　　　
甜美的荔枝、玫瑰、清爽的柑橘與些許如白里香的草料香氣，隨著靈動的氣泡從舌尖湧入鼻中、好似可愛中帶點叛逆的女同學......
　　　　
時而甜美、時而任性、時而優雅、時而俏皮...
