UNDER PRESSURE - that's right, whilst under pressure in this situation, remember to MAINTAIN PRESSURE. Really important when you're re-entering the corkscrew to keep pressure into the cork so as to ensure you can get the purchase you need to whip the darn thing out!

🚚 KEY DATES FOR CHRISTMAS WINE DELIVERY 🍷

Mainland UK (outside London) - 5pm Monday 18th December.

London (inside M25) - 5pm Thursday 21st December.

Order by these dates to get your small-batch wine delivered in time for the 25th. You don't want to get to Christmas Day having left your wine order too late, to have to settle with supermarket plonk, or worse, begrudgingly grabbing that bottle left in the back of the cupboard from a dinner party you hosted years ago.

So be sure to get your order in before the cut-offs, and tick off 'get booze' from your never-ending Christmas to-do list.

Less 'Malbec Moron' and more 'Malbec Masters'.

Whilst Malbec might have been infamously dubbed as such in the TV series 'Succession', when left in the right hands, Malbec can be incredibly complex, and a far cry from that glut of mass-produced stuff that flooded UK supermarkets over the past decade (looking at you Trivento and co...).

Château Les Croisille Cahors "Silice" 2021 is the prime example. Classic Malbec from Cahors. Depth and concentration, nice soft tannins, but still with a freshness due to ageing in concrete tanks.

Pick up a few for your festive drinking.

Mas Lasta La Haut Grenache 2022 is a vibrant, juicy wonder, seemingly more suited to sunnier months given the beautiful colour, but the wine still holds enough structure and complexity to see it sit perfectly in these winter months.

Domaine des Ronces was founded in 1950 by Georges Mazier, located in the lesser-known south of Jura, within the municipality of Orbagna. Starting off with just 1ha, son Michel has since grown that to 6ha, yet they still run a small, humble operation. This scale, or lack there of, enabled them to convert to organic practices In 2010, and a step further to biodynamics just four years later.

These winemakers truly epitomise what we look for at Plonk, and their wines are very much a delight to offer.
