You’re likely aware that nearly 100 active wildfires continue to wreak havoc on communities across Alberta. Thousands of Albertans have had to leave their homes and many more placed on evacuation order of alert, leaving many in urgent need of assistance.

While thus far, we are thankful that none of our colleagues have been directly affected, we do have impacted customers. Breakthru will be supporting the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) with a $5,000 contribution toward wildfire relief. Up until June 3, 2023, the Canadian government will match every dollar donated to the Canadian Red Cross 2023 Alberta Fires Appeal. This means every $1 donated will become $3 to support those affected, going toward immediate and ongoing relief, recovery and resilience efforts in response to the fires, and community preparedness and risk reduction for future all-hazard disaster events within Alberta.
