Le Vigne often holds wine or whisky dinners or events at selected restaurants when wine or whisky personalities visit Singapore. We do wine & whisky trainings for the F&B industry in Singapore and Malaysia as well as consult for restaurants on wine & food pairings and help select whiskies for their menus.Le Vigne also conducts wine & whisky talks for private and corporate events. Why does Le Vigne Wines & Whiskies not supply wines on a consignment basis. Wines are very delicate by nature and we take every possible care to prevent spoilage. When wines are sold on consignment and then returned, merchants can no longer guarantee their quality as it is not possible to identify heat damaged or oxidised wines until the bottles are opened. Did you know that Primitivo and Zinfandel are the same grape 🍇?
It has an interesting origin as the Tribidrag grape, before making its way to Italy and the USA.

Although Italian Primitivo and American Zinfandel are genetically identical, terroir (soil, weather, growing conditions) and
winemaking process make all the difference! 🌿 The Primitivo grape produces intense, dark ruby red wines with a spicy and fruity nose. The wine is soft with medium tannins and good structure and long finish.

We’ve decided to feature 2 of our best-selling Primitivo 🍷 so get them now and discover their unique characteristics :
- Il Matane di Manduria - specifically from the southern Puglia region of Manduria, where Primitivo is made with stricter rules and therefore has DOC status.
- ⁠Cantina Levorato - from grapes grown throughout the Puglia area and has IGT appellation. Excellent value.

Tempranillo takes centerstage on International Tempranillo Day🍷!

Introducing Viña Albali's trio:
- Reserva: Complex aromas of vanilla, chocolate, spices and fruit jam, this wine has a soft palate with a good tannic expression and long finish
- ⁠Gran Selección: Luscious dark fruit dances on your tongue, balanced by velvety tannins and a touch of earthiness.
- Gran Reserva: Complex and elegant aromas of red fruits and hints of leather, green pepper and spices. Palate is expressive with polished tannins and balanced acidity.

For those looking for more of an adventurous twist 🍇, these wines from Western Australia will not disappoint!

- Plan B! Tempranillo : Blackcurrant, fresh plum, bay leaf and leather spice, with background tomato leaf tannin, and lovely medium bodied structure. A touch of barrel matured Viognier was added prior to bottling, adding aromatics, texture and polish.

Many of us know 11.11 as Singles Day or Double 11, a global shopping festival that originated in 1993 in Nanjing.

On a more poignant and important note, 11th November is Remembrance Day which marks the actual day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918.

Also called Poppy Day, the Service of Remembrance is observed throughout the Commonwealth to honour armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.
In Singapore, The British High Commission Singapore, in partnership with the Singapore Armed Forces Veterans’ League (SAFVL), held a Service on Remembrance Sunday at Kranji War Cemetery.

Remember, remember the 5th of November... Guy Fawkes Night! 🧨

On this day in 1605, the Gunpowder Plot conspirators attempted to overthrow 👑 King James I and re-establish Catholic rule in England. Their plan to blow up the Houses of Parliament was foiled when Guy Fawkes was caught with the explosives. Their plan went up in smoke, literally.

Later, the Observance of 5th November Act mandated an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failure.
