We are glad to share that this week marks our 3rd month of operations at Sembawang Country Club - with Cozy Corner. When the four of us got together, put together under different circumstances - we formed Quadrifoglio. We started operations at Cozy Corner during the first Heightened Alert, unfazed, as the potential we forecasted definitely outweighed any doubts. We kicked off operating as a takeaway kiosk, burgers were flying off the grill and wines were brought back by members and friends to be shared with their families at home. We cleared early teething issues, members made us feel very welcome which was a joy and more importantly - the 4 of us learnt more about each other. We really do have our own styles. Which makes things exciting but fun! The heightened alert was lifted, albeit for 2 pax only, but we were thrilled- we served our first diners, friends started to come along to say hello. A few weeks later we were allowed 5 guests - happy days. I can't recall how long that went on for, until the next alert came along. We took it in stride, upped our online presence and hooked up with #foodpanda. We tweaked our menu and were blessed that the country club, golf course and driving range remained open during these two heightened alerts. Aug 10 couldn't have come any earlier, and we were back to seeing guests, diners, friends and their families at Cozy Corner again. Being open to the public, we were glad to see folks from the neighbourhood choosing to come to Cozy Corner, to unwind in the evenings. The power of social media or traditional word of mouth, we ponder. Looking back, it has been real, exciting and the various sizzling situations dished to us have allowed us to continuously keep things crisp and fresh at Cozy Corner. (Do excuse the puns) Quadrifoglio, will always be open for growth, but with deliberation, and is reviewing a couple of ideas and locations at the moment. We await the opportunity to be able to announce something by the end of the year
