As I am sure, many of our loyal Bricks customers now know that we are winding down Bricks Wine Co.
First and foremost, Cathy and I want to thank each and every patron of the shop who have supported Bricks over the last 7 years. Without you there would not have been a Bricks Wine shop! We also want to thank the communities of Inglewood, Ramsay and the East Village for their support of the shop.
I think back to the day we opened the shop and had the help of so many great friends to get the doors open. We want to thank all of the great Agents and Agencies we have worked with over the years. Each of you have helped define the style and flavour of the shop!
We also want to thank all of the fantastic staff we have had over the course of the last 7 years. Like all families we had our ups and downs but I like to think we always had staff that understood our message and the goals for the shop. We also want to express our gratitude to all of our former staff who have stepped up to help with the wind up of the shop. You’ll never know how much Cathy and I appreciate your time and efforts!
When Cathy and I started Bricks it was with the idea that every person, regardless of how much or how little wine knowledge they had, would be made to feel welcomed and treated with the respect that they deserved. In spite of only having the shop for 7 years I believe we successfully met that goal. Someone once told me that “Wine should be fun” and I think we successfully delivered that message at Bricks.
From all of the great tasting events to the customer appreciation events, Holiday events and even Beakerhead it has been a pleasure to witness the joy this brought to the shop, our customers and the community!
For those of you who are saddened to see Bricks come to an end, Cathy and I feel the same way but life deals us a hand both personally and professionally and we have to play the hand we are dealt. Needless to say we are doing that now in both regards.
We will always remember the great times, great people and great stories that Bricks has brought into our lives. We hope you will do the same!
