Established in 2017, The Brewer’s Apprentice is Calgary's largest growler store. At The Brewer’s Apprentice, we celebrate craft beer. Our goal is to showcase great breweries and great styles while supporting the Alberta grain, malting and brewing industry. We have 48 rotating taps and feature many Alberta favorites — including new releases and limited editions! Whether you're a long-time enthusias

t or a new beer explorer, we understand that too many choice can be overwhelming. That’s why in addition to ample selection, we also offer free samples and friendly advice. It’s important to us to make sure you take home a new favorite, the right pairing or an exciting new style. The Brewer’s Apprentice is passionate about quality beer and learning more about it. We endeavor to always improve our knowledge and processes because we want our customers to experience the best beer can offer. In an effort to share that appreciation with you, we offer:

Not a beer lover? We've dedicated some of our taps to cocktails, cider and kombucha, and also offer a small selection of boutique wines and craft seltzers. We pride ourselves on having a little something for everyone.

We’ve gone tropical for our next NEIPA limited release, featuring strata hops. This tropical journey kicks off with vibrant notes of strawberry, grapefruit and passion fruit followed by bursts of mango and pineapple.

Our Story

The Brewer’s Apprentice is more than craft beer and growler fills — it’s a celebration of everything beer, and the craft community. With 48 brews on tap, and a small selection of cans, bottles, including cider an non-alcoholic beverages; we cater to all craft beer lovers. Come sample our selection and leave with a freshly poured Growler (1.89l), Howler (946ml) or Tall Can (473ml) of your favourite. In addition to great local beer, we also offer educational sessions, specialty tastings, private bookings for tasting events.
