Today I found myself in the vicinity of and I thought to myself…….you really need to stop by and check out their small but growing range of pet-nats, it’s market research is it not???
Instantly draw to a label I didn’t recognise, very cool. And then I was slightly shocked……..the producer ……..a pet-nat from one of the big boys!!! How fabulous! So of course now I had to purchase at least one to try….again, market research.
And happy days! It’s great! A ferocious fizz. Fruity grapefruit, guava, peach and strawberries notes. Crisp and dry and amazing colour

Who doesn’t? 🤷🏻‍♀️
We especially love as they are obviously kindred spirits. Amazing wines all named after their four legged fur babies!
My absolute fav is the Disco Puppy 2 Pet-Nat. A delicious Sauv Blanc with loads of gooseberry and peach, and fab fizz! $28 and selling quickly.
Jeremy’s favourite is the Ruby Rosé. A summery blend of Grenache and Syrah. Think strawberry lemonade, lovely! $25 and only a few left
And I will always have a soft spot for Pippa! The first Pet-Nat I tried from winemaker Cron. This fresh and dry Fiano is peachy punch and buttery popcorn…..delish! $30 and nearly gone 😢

A brilliant Sunday wouldn’t you agree? For us it was a quick (wine pick up) trip to the Hunter Valley, and plenty delicious Autumn sunshine to soak up. The only thing that could possibly improve this day is the addition of Bianco Pet-Nat! 🤍🤍🤍

This first release Pet-Nat from is freaking amazing! A lifted but textural blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Pinot Gris 🤗
It’s a complex little number with dried and sweet cherry, raspberry, Meyer lemon and orange rind. Beautifully aromatic, with great body and fabulous fizz! And very reasonably priced at $27 per bottle, what’s not to love! 🍾🥂🥰🌈🦄

Yesterday I found myself just down the road from . And I thought to myself……it would be almost rude not to drop by and admire their impressive selection of Pet-Nats. Call it market research 🧐
So I find myself admiring the impressive display, and realise, it would DEFINITELY be rude not to purchase something. So what am I to do???
My choice 2021 Riesling Pet-Nat did not disappoint! Great fizz, loads of lemon with a hint of salt. A nice super dry finish. I’m thinking of simple whiting fillets with lemon butter, or maybe white bait fritters!?!
Anyway I am now obsessed with Gilbert Family Wines and must get my hands on some to share with you. Will keep you posted!

Indulgent???
Why, yes it is!!!🥂🍾🥰🎉🦄🌈
Pet-Nat is a delicious and clever blend of the traditional champagne varieties. Chardonnay, Pinot Meunière and Pinot Noir. Sounds fabulous and it is! 🤩💛
For me it’s stewed apple and pear, and brioche, and a satisfyingly crisp dry finish.
It makes me think of dessert! 🤔🤗
It’s all about good cheese, if you are asking hard or soft, I would say have both!
But if you have a sweet tooth I have to say vanilla bean ice cream, plus anything you love to eat with ice cream.
I still have a few of this incredible Pet-Nat in stock, and it’s a must try if you are a lover of natty wines. Once gone they are gone, because if history is our guide, I suspect the James Becker will be producing something completely different for 2022!

Please remember that my opinions are uneducated ones. I am I wine lover, definitely not a wine expert. 😘

I love this Übergew from ! 🤩🤩🤩
It’s a little floral and a touch of sherbet, but not too sweet. And I am of the opinion that this variety may make and exceptional Pet-Nat!?!? However, we must remember that I am a natty wine lover, and not a wine expert like James Manners. But I would be interested to hear his thoughts 🤔
This wine was the paired perfect with a brief storm rolling in at the end of a fabulous beach day! 🍾🥂🏖☀️🌩🙌🏻

The Skinsy Chardonnay Petillant is grown up Fanta and frosty fruit ice blocks, a summery citrus delight!
And the fresh grapefruit and soft floral of the Pet Petite Petillant. Crisp and dry and delicious!

As the name suggests, this is yummy! Tropical fruits and acidity, balanced with delicate creaminess, and the perfect fizz

It became impossible to resist! Popping this Bianco from up on the website and posting it today had me actually wondering if it was as good as I remembered? 🤔
So there was only one thing to do really……the right thing! 😎
Pop a bottle in the fridge to chill l down and taste it again 🤷🏻‍♀️
Freaking sensation! The only thing I may have previously overlooked is the rich creaminess before the dry finish. It is THAT good 🤩

Well, I really don’t know where to start. There is nothing not to love about this creation 2021 Bianco. A 50/50 blend of Fiano and Greco. It has the skinsy, textural mouth feel of a typical orange wine, but has the added funkiness and fizz of a Pet -Nat. It’s fresh and fruity and loads of fun! Plus, I totally adore the label!
You can find it on the website at $27 per bottle. I think it would make a great 3 pack with the Lambruscos??? Message me if you think so too! 😘

When I think disco I naturally think Saturday, for obvious reasons. So this gloriously muggy Saturday afternoon, with the smell of potential rain in the air was the perfect time to try Disco Puppy 2 from 🍾🥂🕺🏻💃🏻🤩
And I am pleased to say, my instincts were bang on! Cracked the well chilled bottle and poured myself a glass, and settled myself on the deck to watch the storm roll in.
All gooseberry and stone fruit, with ripping acidity, and a zippy fizz!
The sour note is not to MrB’s taste (the crowd sighs), but I find it irresistible! And MrB says I love the sour because I am too sweet already 😂

I would like to introduce you to a couple of very special and unique wines!
Based in Mclaren Vale are a small family run vineyard, completely sustainable, and producing some phenomenal wines.
The first is the 2021 Mamachita Petillant 😍😍😍 Big orange and clove. Vibrant and lively with a rounded finish. Under 100 bottles released, so if you love your pet-nats, I strongly recommend you try this one before it’s gone forever.
The second is the 2021 Fumé Blanc Piquette 🤩🤩🤩 Now this is for the enthusiast not for the faint hearted. Big herbaceous notes balanced with Nashi Pear. Crisp and clean with a ripping minerality.

I don’t know about you but it’s Thursday and I am still obsessed with Lambrusco! I will reiterate that, in my opinion, Tim Ward creates a freaking magic Lambrusco ✨🍷🤩🎉🌈🦄
The 100% Maestri is bold and dry and will stand up against the stinkiest soft cheese. While the Rosé blend is soft and delicate and begging to be drank solo, in the sunshine, with friends, or not.
Both so different and both so delicious! It would be cruel of me to make you choose. So they now come in a handy 2 pack for $40! 😘

I am really excited to introduce you to the first of four new Pet-Nats from amazing friends !!!

Owners/Winemakers Brad and Kendra Cameron have been in the small batch, minimal intervention winemaking biz for six years, but this year is first they have included Petillants! They are the real deal. Sustainability grown grapes, and a winery 100% solar powered. Fruits are lightly and lovingly pressed using minimal machinery
I was eager to get my hands on these wines, even without tasting. For me Camwell represents everything that is so exciting about wine.
The first is a Skinsy Chardonnay and it looks fabulous and tastes delicious! Loads of tropical fruit aroma and on the palate. Fantastic textural mouth feel and finishes dry as a bone
Extremely small batch so stock is very limited. Will be making its debut on the website tomorrow, but feel free to message me if you want to secure a bottle or two 😘

Now this fabulous little number is not one of mine, but it is delicious, and I can tell you where to find it! 😊
This Pet-Nat from is a co-ferment of and which gives loads of frosty fruit vibes, it’s passionfruity with a hint of doughy creaminess, balanced by ripping acidity. And in retrospect I should have heeded the warning to open over the sink, as it was indeed lively!💥🍾🥂🥰
