Jasmin and her family have recently moved up to Newcastle from Sydney (who wouldn't!) She has been in the hospitality industry for 10+ years, primarily working in wine bars in Sydney and London. She has an absolute wealth of knowledge and a love for the industry. We are so lucky to have her working with us.⁠

Jasmin's first pick of the week is DEFIALY 'Pale Blue Eyes' Savagnin. In her words, this bottle is an excellent representation of the grape variety in Australia, which is primarily grown in the Jura, France. ⁠

We kicked off our month of French cheese & wine with some incredible wines from Loire Valley and Alsace.⁠

The Loire itself could be a month long affair, covering a huge expanse of the country from the the Atlantic in the West to a stone’s throw from Chablis in central France. Alsace, cradling the German border, is one of the sunniest and driest regions in spite of it’s latitude.⁠
