Malty Monday with The Glenturret 10yr Peat Smoke & 15yr. The Glenturret is (currently opened by The Lalique Group) one of the oldest working distilleries' and brings some extraordinary malts. 10yr Peat Smoke has notes of citrus, vanilla, salted caramel leading into smoky wood spice. 15yr features toffee, fruity & cinnamon notes & gentle smoke & long lingering finish at 50.8% ABV.

We got our 2nd barrel of Jack Rye barrelproof yesterday.

A few highlights:
*After making our selections, we learned that it was from one of the Coy Hill warehouses.
*We picked it early February and the proof was approx 130.x & it got bottled at 132.3 on July 15th, 2024.
*We like ugly looking beat up barrels because whiskey has silently made a toll on the barrel. This barrelhead is a bit hard to read the barrel fill date. If it was a similar barrel fill date as the other two choices, this would be approximately 7yr 11mo old barrel.

We bring new Gin cautiously in our store. Some are too good to pass on for us. We carried Gracias A Dios Agave Gin in the past and now brought back after a while: Oaxacan recipe made with local ingredients, juniper & 7 botanicals(including avocado leaf, yerba Santa, cacao, Oaxaca tangerine) macerated with the Agave & then distilled thrice. Very aromatic with peppery spice and slightly smoked green notes, the palate has citrus-y acidity and citrus-y subtle bitterness of cacao. Fantastic lingering finish with dryness begging for more sips. Such a complex yet balanced pour for a neat sip. Check it out. Cheers.

From 1650 thru July 31st 1970, Royal Navy sailors would get a daily ration or "tot" of rum by the ship's "Purser", a word the sailors later coined as "Pusser". This Rum tradition ended when higher-ups thought that sailors were having too much fun at the sea. Celebrate this Black Tot Day with a glass of Rum or painkiller to honor old traditions of the past & a spirit of camaraderie. 🥃

One of our favorite still strength Blanco tequilas is back in stock. 4812 bottles of this flavor bomb tequila produced. If I remember correctly, PM Spirits had to relabel these bottles for CRT's crackdown on additive-free labels. Regardless, it's delicious, additives free & 😀🥃

Rich & chew-y Kentucky Straight Rye, from Frank August now available. Rye crop is known as a cover crop used primarily for future crops and other growth prospects. The barrels chosen for these Rye whiskey batches are distilled in the Winter season. Hence the name Winter Cover Rye. Very small batch of 3 barrels. Get while available.

New single cask releases from Holmes Cay:

Barbados Port Cask 2012:
• 8 years in Barbados in ex-Bourbon cask, 1 year secondary maturation in Port cask in NY.
• TASTING NOTES: Light Christmas sрісe on the nose. Cherry and vanille lead to a very dry finish with notes of Christmes spice, a bit of stone fruit and oak.

Venezuela 2007:
• 15 years fully/tropically aged in Venezuela ex-Bourbon cask and bottled in New York.
• TASTING NOTES: Light fruit and caramel on the nose, with tangy citrus and peach on the tongue and notes of pepper and oak in the dry finish.

Patron Tequila may be a big brand name but takes no short cuts in making fine tequila. The new Cristalino Anejo release is another example of their craftsmanship. Stone/brick oven baked agave, crushed with Tahona stone, twice distilled, aging in 4 types of American oak barrels and finally filtering thru American oak charcoal for clear tequila.

60% 11-year-old corn whiskey from Tennessee aged in re-charred American oak barrels
36% 18-year-old Canadian rye aged in ex-bourbon casks
Segmented into thirds and finished for 6 more months in either port, Spanish vermouth, or sherry barrels
4% 10-year-old Indian Single Malt matured in India’s high temperatures and humidity.

Bourbon mashbill of 66.6% Yellow Dent Corn, 10% Winter Wheat, 11.4% Winter Rye, 12% Malted(on site) two-row barley. Rye is 100% Winter Rye. Come & get some exciting whiskies from Nevada.
