About the new FDA regulations regarding vapes and juices
To those of you who are applauding this action, let me break this down Barney style for you since none of you are likely to read the 499 page ruling because you really don't care:
These regulations do not affect to***co companies at all. It isn't going to ban ci******es, and to***co companies can easily meet the new regulatory costs (estimated to be $1,000,000 per SKU) without hurting their bottom line at all.
Second, it bans all sampling of v***r products - both in store and samples being sent to other shops. This means you can no longer try a flavor before you buy it, and if you're an e-liquid manufacturer, you can no longer send samples to shops to see if they want to carry your product.
Third, it classifies everything even related to the creation or operation of an electronic cigarette as a to***co product. This could mean cotton balls, kanthal wire, tiny blue screwdrivers, batteries - all of these could be classified as to***co products. This is a MASSIVE overstep of the FDA's authority.
Fourth, it freezes the market on August 10th 2016 at which point no new products can enter the market without getting the FDA's stamp of approval (the FDA has stamped ci******es with approval, think about that for a second).
The current items on the market would be safe for 2 years while you pay $1,000,000 per item to get them approved (no guarantee, they can deny you and keep your money). Any item not approved by August 10th 2018 is banned the next day. The FDA could stand to profit as much as 1.6 TRILLION dollars if everyone could afford to pay their fees.
Lastly, truth the told - the ONLY people who will survive the FDA's new ruling will be to***co companies. This means the ONLY v***r products you will be able to buy - will be the ones made by the people who brought you lung cancer.
You missed the big picture.
The FDA doesn't care about your health - they care about protecting the TRILLION dollar healthcare industry that profits off your sickness.
Total U.S. health care expenditures were estimated to be $3.24 trillion in 2015, and are projected to soar to $3.78 trillion in 2018! That's a crapload of money to protect!
Wake up.
The v***r industry has never, and will never target children as our customers. The intent of the industry is to make available a classification of products that provide ADULTS with the ni****ne they crave while reducing the harm through elimination of over 4000 chemicals, 600 of which are known to cause cancer.
Anyone who is telling you otherwise is drinking the Special Interest Kool-Aid.
