We want to inform our residents that the sanitation service for customers whose pick-up is scheduled for Tuesday has been temporarily suspended. This change is necessary because our city’s sanitation trucks are full, having collected Monday and a portion of Tuesday’s routes. Additionally, the county landfill is closed now, preventing us from unloading the trucks.

To accommodate this change, sanitation customers usually serviced on Tuesday will serviced on Wednesday along with the regularly scheduled route. We ask all residents affected by this change to ensure their polycarts are out by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Please note that due to the adjusted schedule, our sanitation trucks will not have a set time for pick-up throughout the day.

Additionally, the Street Department will be conducting additional snow removal operations overnight. However, the removal of snow rolled down the center of Main Street will experience a delay. Pick-up of this snow will be completed as soon as it is practically possible.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we adjust our normal schedule in response to circumstances beyond our control.
