Fred and Joyce Worley opened their first liquor store in Olathe, Kansas in 1983. Fred was preparing to retire from Delco-Remy and knew he wanted to work a little longer. In 1996, they expanded the family operation to a second location, in Stanley, Kansas, which was opened by baby sister, Tiffany. As they got older, they decided to sell the Olathe store, to a couple of fellas, who expanded it a wee
bit and renamed it Brown Bag liquor. Fred and Joyce kept the Stanley Store, After the recent passing of both Fred and Joyce, Grandson Chase and daughter Lynette went into partnership to keep Fred's vision in the family. Since then, Chase has left the store and Lynette is operating it with the aid of several loyal longtime and valuable employees.
