Happy Juneteenth! We celebrated with Adult Peach Tea!

1 1/2 bottles of White Peach Stillmon
1 1/2 gallons of fresh brewed ice tea
2 cups of sugar added after the tea is warm and brewed
8 wholes peaches (sliced in 4ths squeeze on a little lemon juice and freeze

Get a container add peach and ice, layer until full

Add liquor and teal.
Mix and taste!!!

Elizabeth Kootnz Duncan was a trailblazing educator.

Feb. 4th the NCAE  Black Caucus highlights NCTA member  Elizabeth Duncan Koontz.

She organized the Classroom Teachers Division of the North Carolina Teachers' Association and was its president from 1949-1953.

Elizabeth Duncan Koontz became NEA’s first Black president. Under her tenure, NEA establishes the Center for Human Relations, today known as Human & Civil Rights.

She was a member of the national Advisory Council of the Education of Disadvantaged children in 1965.

She was appointed by Richard Nixon as the first African-American United States Director of the of the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau.

Elizabeth Duncan Koontz was an honorary member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
