Just in, these two beauties from Clos du Tue Bœuf. This year's rosé is a Pinot Noir - Gamay blend and the red is Gamay, Côt and Pineau D'Aunis. Both are under 12% ABV and are extremely limited.

Dominique Piron makes some gorgeous wines from Beaujolais in a traditional style. His Coq Léon is a beautiful, very drinkable red made from 95% Gamay and 5% Gamaret (a cross of Gamay and Reichenstener, for the fellow nerds out there.) With a little chill, this wine shows great fruit and freshness.

Here's the lineup from our Annual Holiday Dinner at Cafe Michelina, with cocktails afterwards at Mulligan's.

Petit Le Mont Sauvignon ($13). The crowd favorite of the evening! Light, crisp and easy to drink, with nice citrus notes. Went well with antipasti and all the creamy pasta dishes (like the dirty Stuffed Rigatoni in Vodka Sauce).

Foxglove Chardonnay ($18). A Vine favorite over the years - full bodied with ripe fruit flavors but restrained with the oak. A well-balanced "food" wine.

Gerard Millet Sancerre ($27). A great new addition to the Vine. Red Sancerre is 100% Pinot Noir and this is a relative bargain. Smooth, lush and delicious. My personal favorite of the evening.

Avignonesi Rosso di Montepulciano ($17). Another great new find. 100% Sangiovese with medium body and delicious cherry flavors. Paired especially well with all the red pasta dishes (I love their Baby Eggplant, Chicken, Fresh Mutz and Pomodoro dish).

Chateau Pey-Martin Medoc ($20). A classically styled Medoc with firm tannins and deep black cherry flavors. This wine is still young and tight. Give this one time to open up.

Other Half All Citra ($24). For our non-wine drinkers, a Double Dry Hopped Imperial IPA. A full-throttled, juicy and citrusy IPA from one of our favorite local breweries.

Another great meal at Corto! The Kerner from Abbazia di Novacella is a rich white with freshness and crisp balance. Kerner is a cross of Riesling (this is not a sweet wine!) and Schiava, a favorite red grape of the area.

Whether it's Barolo, Barbaresco, Gatttinara, Ghemme, Roero, etc, Nebbiolo is responsible for a large percentage of Northern Italy's great red wines. Nebbiolo's thin skin typically results in a lighter color, but don't let that fool you. These wines can be extremely bold and powerful.

Luigi Einaudi makes beautiful Baroli from such prized areas as Bussia and Cannubi, but its Dolcetto is magnificent, too. Their 2020 Dogliani has pretty, fresh fruit flavors, earthiness and lasting vibrancy.

Domaine du Salvard, Cheverney Red 2022. Located in the Loire Valley, Domaine du Salvard has been a working domaine since 1898. This is a delightful easy-drinking red made of Pinot Noir, Gamay and Cot (Malbec). Rich, lush and easy to drink, this is a great bistro wine to serve with a slight chill. Enjoy!
