Eight months after opening Rockwell Brewery Riverside on Broadband Drive, the owners of Rockwell Brewery are selling their original location on North East Street in downtown Frederick for $750,000.

The end of our journey at District East is here. We are offering all beer and wine at wholesale prices.

Today and tomorrow, July 31st and August 1st, mark our final days. We're open from 11 AM to 5 PM on both days, ready to reminisce, laugh, share a tear, and say our goodbyes.

It's your chance to stock up on your favorites or perhaps try something new.

After more than 4 years, it's with a heavy heart that we announce District East will be closing its doors for the last time on August 1.

Running District East, providing our community with an array of local, hard-to-find, and specialized beers, has been a source of great joy and pride. We've been fortunate to share in your celebrations, and to explore the world of craft beer with you.

Starting today, we will be offering discounts on our entire stock.

While this is a period of great change and sadness, we hope you will join us over the coming weeks. Let's commemorate the past, acknowledge the present, and toast to the future.

Join us and Chris from Nepenthe Brewing Co. from 1pm to 4pm for a free in-store tasting. Chris has brought a fantastic selection with him which is sure to have something for everyone. As always featured beers are 10% off for the duration of the tasting.

Mallet - American Lager - 4.3% - Mallet is as simple as a beer can be, utilizing only American 2-row in the mash, hopped gently but meaningfully with American classic Cascade, and fermented on an American lager strain. Crackery malt gives way to a subtle citrus from the hops before a dry, effervescent finish clears your palate.

Solar Crown - Witbier - 5.2% - Brewed with a simple base of pilsner, wheat, and oats, we added heaps of Atwater's Earl Grey & Orange jam, coriander, orange puree & peel, and earl grey tea. This Belgian-style witbier has a traditional soft body and classic Belgian flavor, with delicate notes of sun tea, orange julius, and spring florals.

Astral Decay - Pale Ale - 5.3% - This easy drinker is built on a sturdy base of wheat, 2-row, and a touch of crystal and honey malts. Thoughtfully hopped with Citra, Centennial, Amarillo, and Nelson Sauvin.

Space Jellyfish - AIPA - 7.1% - Brewed with barley, wheat, rye, oats, and just a touch of honey malt, we hammered this beer with Galaxy, Motueka, and Simcoe and double dry-hopped it with the same blend.

Cosmic Dubbabeebweepa - DIPA - 8.2% - Brewed with 2-row, Golden Promise, wheat, and oats, then launched into the outer reaches with a massive whirlpool addition of Citra & Mosaic Incognito, Simcoe Cryo, and Galaxy. Fermented on Omega's Cosmic Punch to encourage passionfruity thiols and then a soaring double dry-hop of Galaxy pellets and Citra, Mosaic, & Amarillo pellets & Cryo.

On our way to Frederick County Animal Control, Maryland! We heard the call and we took action. We went through every unused flat in the store and pulled all of the ones without handles. These cats are going to be so excited. Shout out to all of our customers for buying so much beer that we can do stuff like this when there is a need in the community.
