Did you know that we sell Faygo pop in the store? Yes we said “pop” Jeremy and Lisa are originally from Michigan where Faygo originated. They grew up drinking flavors like “Rock n’ Rye”, “Red Pop”, “Moon-Mist” and Grape. If you’re an ICP fan you may also be familiar with Faygo as being called “Juggalo Juice” (IYKYK)🤡

Faygo is credited with coining the term “pop.” It was the first company to use twist-off caps, which made the “pop” sound when opened. It’s one reason they say pop instead of soda in Michigan.

The Rock & Rye flavor gets its name from the saloon drink that is made with bitters, rock candy, and rye whiskey. Maybe The Hub should make this drink???

Let’s talk about Insane Clown Posse. This underground Detroit hip-hop group has been around for nearly 30 years and drops the Faygo name in many of its songs. The members drink the pop, as do their fans (Juggalos). During live shows, ICP gives their live audiences “Faygo showers.” This habit started after the crowd got enthusiastic about the rap duo throwing a bottle of Faygo into a group of hecklers. Now, it’s part of the fan culture. “Juggalo Juice”

We now sell Ovenells beef! 🐄
Double O Ranch is located right here in Concrete WA. As the crow flies it’s one mile away from our store. You can’t get more local than that! Their beef is all natural, grain fed and grass fat. It’s the best burger our family has ever eaten. Ovenells Heritage Inn is also on the property and is a wonderful place to stay if you’re ever in town. We now sell loose leaf tea in the store! We may be a liquor store but we sell many other things that don’t have alcohol for all you NA drinkers. Sold in a box of 12 pre packaged bags. We have a Sweet Yellow, Green Jasmine and Lavender for the time being to see how it goes. We will offer tea tastings and tea to go in the future as well.

Did you know the Concrete Liquor Store was once a Ford dealer and repair shop? Our profile picture shows the sign in the window and glass gas pumps in the street. Aside from cars, Ford also made airplanes. This ad from a 1929 Saturday Evening Post highlights those planes and a very cool aerial photo of Concrete from a Ford tri-motor metal plane!

This weekend .theatre will be playing The movie “This Boys Life” right in town where some of the movie was filmed, for its 30 year anniversary. There will also be discussions by locals who were there or have stories about the filming and a tour of some spots where the movie was filmed right on here on Main Street! Be sure to make a quick stop or peek In the window of the liquor store where we have a “Sporting Goods” sign hung up that was used on set in the movie!
