Ok, whiskey lovers. This riff on a traditional Mai Tai is for you. Now, because the whiskey Mai Tai is finished by floating bitters on top, this recipe includes a little more sweetener to balance the flavors. Let us know what you think in the comments.
Whiskey Mai Tai
Add 2 oz. whiskey, ½ oz. dry curaçao liqueur, ¾ oz. lime juice, ½ oz. orgeat syrup, and ¼ oz. simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice.
Shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a glass over fresh ice.
Gently dash aromatic bitters 6-8 times on top of the drink so it "floats." Garnish with a lime wheel, mint sprig, and a maraschino cherry.

Elevate your Piña Colada for National Piña Colada Day with these twists on the tropical cocktail.
Puerto Rican Piña Colada – Add 2 oz. light rum, 1½ oz. cream of coconut (or coconut sorbet), 1½ oz. pineapple juice, ½ oz. lime juice, and ice (about ¾ cup, but you can adjust based on the texture you want) to a blender, then blend on high until cold and smooth.
Cuban Piña Colada – Add 2 oz. aged rum, 4 oz. pineapple juice, ¼ oz. lime juice, ¼ oz. rich simple syrup (2 parts sugar to 1 part water), and ice (about ¾ cup, but you can adjust based on the texture you want) to a blender, then blend on high until cold and smooth.
Greek Piña Colada – Blend 2 oz. light gold rum, 1½ oz. yoghurt liqueur or Greek yogurt, 2 slices of pineapple, ½ oz. pineapple liqueur, 1 oz. coconut rum, and ice. And for a fun twist, add Chartreuse or absinthe to the mix.
