We also had Wicked Whiskers here for a Beard & Mustache Contest... this was really pretty cool...the prizes & awards were custom made for for the Cherokee Outlet Land Rush Celebration...1 of a kind plaques & awards were handed out for different categories!!

Many exciting things took place at Rivers Eagle Bar & Grill this weekend...2nd Battery Iowa Light Artillery with Cannons & Gatling Guns were fired off & Mr. Mickie & Seth Graves cooked a whole steer on a Homemade Roasting Spit ( It was Delicious )

If you had ancestors who homesteaded property in unassigned lands including the Cherokee Outlet, there is an opportunity to participate in the building of a memorial wall commemorating their efforts in 1893. An example of the memorial is on the cover of the New magazine titled "PATHWAYS TO THE OUTLET" which will be on sale soon @ Cherokee Strip Mercantile located just south of town across the Arkansas River where the Land Run started in 1893.
