Rolled at My Father Ci**rs S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The Yellow Rose looks quite rustic from first glance, with a gnarly dark espresso brown wrapper that is both rough to the touch and covered in veins. It is actually a little spongy when squeezed. Aroma from the wrapper is a combination of strong manure, hay, earth, sweet raisons and pepper, while the cold draw brings flavors of barnyard, baker’s spices, leather and oak, with a touch of spice on the tongue.

Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers. Notably, it is made at Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic and not at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A., the Nicaraguan factory that has made every RoMa Craft Tobac cigar up until this point.

Sometimes you find unexplored territory in your own backyard. CAO has been sourcing to***co from the DR for years but they’ve never worked with andullo to***co, a relatively rare, centuries-old technique that involves taking cured to***co leaves and tightly coiling them in palm tree pods called “yaguas” to ferment. This process yields a dark, leathery to***co with a taste profile that is both strong and sweet. CAO Mortal Coil blends this rare to***co inside a USA Broadleaf wrapper for a unique cigar that’s uncommonly flavorful.
