A milestone achieved in Drone warfare. Russian "Orion" Drone is now capable of engaging air targets.
Orion was reportedly developed with Iranian support based on the extensively combat tested Shahed 129, had become capable of engaging enemy drones in combat.
The missiles used by the Russian Orion are thought to be derived from the Kornet anti-tank missile.

The HQ-9P, which is thought to be an export variant of the HQ-9B tailored to Pakistani requirements, was commissioned during a ceremony on October 14th at Army Air Defence Centre Karachi. The ceremony was attended by Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.The acquisition comes as India plans to acquire its first S-400 units with five battalions set to be operational by 2025.

The missile system has a maximum engagement range reported as between 200 and 300km by various sources.At maximum range the HQ-9 can engage targets deep into Indian airspace if deployed near the border regions. The system can operate as part of a network and share data with other assets such as shorter ranged HQ-16 systems, HHQ-16s deployed by the Pakistani Navy, and JF-17 fighters which currently use Chinese-supplied PL-12 long range air to air missiles.

A North Waziristan-based TTP group confirmed that the talks with the government were ongoing. A tribal leader from North Waziristan, who had been involved in the talks between the government and the TTP, said that the talks were going on for some time.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran said in an interview with TRT World that the negotiations were being conducted in Afghanistan, adding that dialogue was the only solution and that the government would “forgive” the members if an agreement was reached.

China unveiled its new CH-6 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system on Tuesday at Airshow China 2021 in Zhuhai.
The drone, with a wingspan of 20.5 meters, has a maximum takeoff weight of 7.8 tons and can carry a large range of payloads including electro-optic systems, synthetic aperture radar, early warning radars, electronic reconnaissance systems, air-to-ground missiles and bombs, anti-radiation missiles and loitering munitions, up to 450 kilograms.
It is powered by two turbofan engines, giving the system a flight time of up to 20 hours, considerably longer than an average military drone. Reports say that even if one engine fails the remaining one can still power the drone.
The CH-6 has a top speed of 700 kph , means it can easily breach most ground defense and detection systems before it is neutralized.

Russian has begun to deploy its new R-74M short-range missiles, the most advanced munition of its type in Russian service, onto its fleet of MiG-31BM/BSM heavyweights interceptors. The new missile is optimised for high of foresight targeting of enemy aircraft at extreme angles.
Mig31 although unrivalled in speed, altitude and range, is a very poor performer in close range combat with almost no ability to pull tight manoeuvres. Its powerful sensor suite is built around a radar optimised for long range engagements, which is of little use in a close dogfight. The R-74, however, has the potential to give the MiG-31 more than a fighting chance in close range engagements, allowing them to engage targets at more extreme angles and more reliably without the need to point the Foxhound’s nose towards them.

Russia’s S-500 long range air defence system is expected to enter service before the end of 2021.The system is prized for a number of advanced features including its very high degree of situational awareness, its 600km engagement range, its ability to intercept hypersonic and space targets including satellites and ICBMs, and its ability to network with older air defence systems such as the S-400.

It was previously uncertain whether Russia would offer the S-500 for export considering that it can be considered a strategic weapon due to its focus on ballistic missile defence including against intercontinental range attacks.

“On August 19, 2021, six Israeli Air Force tactical fighters launched 24 guided missiles from Lebanese airspace at targets in the Syrian Arab Republic,” Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of Russia’s Reconciliation Center for Syria.
The Israeli strikes originated from around Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, and targeted areas in Syria’s Damascus and Homs provinces, SANA reported. Four civilians in the town of Qara were killed in the strikes, according to local reports cited by the Jerusalem Post.

On 15th of august, Taliban encircles Kabul, enters Afghan capital’s airport and also announced earlier that Taliban are now controlling the entire territory of Afghanistan.
The Taliban launched an offensive on Kabul from all directions on Sunday morning. Acting Afghan Interior Minister Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal announced in a live broadcast of the Tolo News TV Channel that "the handover of power will be peaceful." Former Interior Minister Ali Ahmad Jalali has assumed the responsibilities of the head of the transitional government in the country, Al Arabiya reported.

The Lebanese group, Hezbollah, has said it fired rockets at open ground near Israeli positions in response to Israeli air raids on southern Lebanon, drawing retaliatory Israeli strikes for a second consecutive day.
The Shia group also said the Israeli air attacks had hit open ground in Lebanon.
Later on Friday, the Israeli military said its fighter jets had struck southern Lebanon after more than 10 rockets were fired across the border.

The air force is “currently striking the launch sources in Lebanon”, it said.

Erdogan said on Monday that the Taliban should "end the occupation of their brothers' soil", and played down a warning from the militant group of consequences if Turkish troops remain in Afghanistan to run Kabul airport.
Before leaving for a trip to northern Cyprus Erdogan told reporters
that Taliban need to end the occupation of their brothers' soil and show the world that peace is prevailing in Afghanistan right away.
He said the Taliban's approach was not the way that Muslims should deal with each other.

President Vladimir Putin in June offered US counterpart Joe Biden the use of Russian military bases in Central Asia for information gathering from Afghanistan, the Kommersant newspaper reported on Saturday, as American troops leave the country.

In a rare offer during a period of frosty relations between Washington and Moscow, Putin proposed at June 16 talks with Biden in Geneva that they coordinate on Afghanistan and put Russia's bases in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to "practical use".

The newspaper said this could involve the exchange of information obtained using drones but that there had been no concrete response from the U.S. side. The Kremlin did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The United States Air Force is sending more than two dozen F-22 stealth fighters to an exercise in the western Pacific this month, an unusually large deployment of the powerful jets that analysts say sends a strong message to a possible adversary in China at a time when relations are tense over Pacific flashpoints like Taiwan and the South China Sea.

Pacific Air Forces commander told that "We have never had this many Raptors deployed together in the Pacific Air Forces area of operations".
He said "The Pacific Air Force is demonstrating that it can deploy as many or more fifth-generation aircraft into the theater on short notice than (China) currently has in its entire inventory".
The Chinese air force has about 20 to 24 operational fifth-generation fighters, Schuster said, but he noted Beijing's capabilities are improving at a rapid pace.

According to Russian state media outlet TASS, the new fighter will feature “low radar signatures in various bands, a high thrust to weight ratio, a large weapon payload, and advanced air-launched armaments.”
The new Russian fighter is expected to be tailored towards export markets, where its leading competitors will be the American F-35A and Chinese J-10C. The fighter will benefit from supermanoeuvrability and supercruise capabilities which the F-35 notably lacks.

President Joe Biden and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan agreed when they met in Brussels this week that Turkey would take a lead role in securing the Kabul airport as the United States withdraws troops from Afghanistan, a US official said.

Erdoğan had asked for US support to help secure the airport and Biden committed to providing that support, Sullivan said, the Reuters news agency reported.

But the two leaders were not able to resolve a longstanding dispute that has strained ties between Washington and Ankara about Turkey’s purchase of the Russian-made S-400 surface-to-air missile system.

Iran today unveiled a new drone called , which can reportedly carry 13 bombs for 2,000km as well as 500kg of reconnaissance and communications equipment.
The Drone called GAZA is reportedly capable of various surveillance, combat, reconnaissance missions with a flight duration of 35 hours.

The head of the Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, said the new drone was named “Gaza” in honor “of those in that land who stand today against the invasion and aggression of the Zionists (Israel”, the Guards’ website reported).

Although leaders of Palestinian militant groups in Gaza, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, have frequently praised Iran’s financial and military support.

Hamas sources have confirmed to Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar that the group has agreed to a ceasefire. This will be binding for both the Israeli Government and Hamas.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif slammed the US administration for approving the sale of $735m in weapons to Israel.

US administration has approved the sale of $735m in precision weapons to Israel, while blocking a joint UN security council statement.
According the the Washington Post the deal includes Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), which are used to turn bombs into precision-guided missiles.
