🍹 Robbie's Cocktail Corner: The Nojito 🍹

In honour of Dry July and its participants, try the Nojito, one of the best non-alcoholic cocktails. This refreshing drink is delightful on its own but can easily be spiked for those who prefer. The slight astringent burn, often associated with alcoholic beverages, comes from lime oil extracted during preparation.

For an alcoholic twist, add 60mL of Havana Club 7 Rum, or substitute with Bourbon, Tequila, or Gin.

Ingredients:

2 sprigs of mint (10-15 leaves)
1 lime, quartered
15mL Monin Agave Syrup or a rich 2:1 syrup if you're making your own
Ice cubes
Long Rays Soda Water

Method:

Place mint leaves in a shaker tin.
Quarter the lime, juice it into the tin, and add the quarters to extract oils.
Add 15mL of Monin agave syrup or homemade syrup.
Fill the tin with ice cubes and shake for 15 seconds.
Pour the contents into a highball glass without straining.
Top with more ice and fill with Long Rays Soda Water.
Stir quickly, serve with a straw, and enjoy!
