The shot was taken unplanned on January 1, 2016. Tajmahal was closed to visitors since it was a Friday. So my friend and I went to Mehtab Bag across the Yamuna instead. It was very cold, and there was dense fog, making visibility poor. It remained like that till at least 10 in the morning. I had lost hope of capturing anything significant, and despite my friend's request to leave, I stuck around. Outside Mehtab Bag, opposite the fenced bank of the Yamuna, Tajmahal started appearing as the fog was becoming thinner. I took the frame focusing on red flowers in the lane and kept one of the most famous iconic symbols of the world as an out-of-focus background. The result was beyond expectations; it got published in National Geographic, and almost every Nat Geo editor showered praise on the image. Now, it's a best-seller from Anirban Mandal Pictures.

The Coffee Board of India opened the Coffeehouse in 1942 Albert Hall. Since then, Amartya Sen, Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, Mrinal Sen, and others have frequented it.

Boats gathered to watch the famous hour-long evening Aarti at Dashashwamedh ghat, Varanasi.

Ganga Aarti in Varanasi is a Visual Delight.
This Unique frame of Evening Aarti at Assi Ghat is from my recent visit in October 2022.

"The composition of this frame makes me feel as if I myself is witnessing the Aarti standing in the crowd on the Ghat." said one of my colleague. Definitely as a photographer that sounded amazing to my ears.

As a new photographer your Visuals appeasing peoples is really exciting but after being into this field for this long I now take more intrest in analysing Philosophical side of the particular frame. This picture for a layman may seem just as the Aarti going on. Not being very religious kind of person but if to be honest it's looks beautiful.
The priests worship the Ganga in such synchronisation that it is a spellbinding sight. They've been doing it in front of thousands of people for years, and the practise and unwavering devotion have made them perfect at what they do. Although it appears dangerous, the lamps are in good hands. This goes on for 45 minutes and it is nearly impossible to look away for even a second.

But anyways when get into a bit philosophical side of the frame here we see a huge crowd with it's each individual member different from the other in almost every aspect different backgrounds, profession, ambition, lifestyle. Someone has come all way walking, someone is regular there as he/she lives nearby, someone has come by train and someone has came by taking flight but still everyone has to stand in togather in the crowd just to witness the prayer and be the part of it. No discrimination or differentiation is done on the basis of anything. It seems to be representing the Idea of making unity on minimum agreement for the Preservance of Diversity.
