I hope to use this as a way to raise awareness within the national hospitality sector, of how Irish made cocktails can help businesses here. Since the summer of 2011, I have been researching how home grown fruits, juices and herbs can be used to mixed into fresh, tasty drinks. I have also spent a lot of time playing around with how locally distilled spirits and liqueurs can be further enjoyed by m
ixing them into cocktails. Not only has this whole process been exceptionally enjoyable (bar the occasional hangover), but I have since discovered that there is a wealth of products to tap into in Ireland that can open new revenue streams for our bars, clubs, venues, festivals, restaurants, hotels, farmers and suppliers. Most western nations have an active cocktail tradition within how they eat and drink. With this page, I hope to show as many people as possible how easy and helpful that could be created anywhere in Ireland. It will be a constant work in progress and will depend on any recipes, ideas or suggestions that others can bring to the table.
