An irish twist on an American 1860s classic.

Poitín, The base for this cocktail is a traditional Irish distilled spirit ranging from 40 to 90% ABV. Poitín was traditionally distilled in small pot stills, and the term is a diminutive of the Irish word pota, meaning “pot”. Typically, Irish Poitín is made from cereals, grain, whey, sugar beet, molasses, and potatoes.
