Our friend (and local vet) Alasdair is running 60 miles in September for Cancer Research, so if you have a few spare pennies for this worthy cause, there is a sponsor form on the counter of the shop.
Alasdair (unfortunately for him) also sees me very early every morning in the shop when he collects his paper, so should be paid handsomely for that alone 😊

Due to a few parents moving on, we are looking for some new helpers to help run the village parties we hold for children in the village from birth to p7.

We are a friendly bunch and it’s a great way to make new friends. It’s not a massive commitment and involves a few get-togethers in the run-up to Halloween and Christmas. We usually try and have our meetings over a glass of whatever you fancy!!

So why not pop along on Wednesday 13th Sept at the Falls of Lora Hotel - can grab a drink from the bar and we will be in the lounge

Oban’s Spotlight Musical Theatre Group returns for another fantastic summer musical extravaganza and we are bringing it to Connel for one night. Come along for an entertaining evening of music with hits from Broadway and the Silver Screen suitable for the whole family. As well as some familiar faces from Spotlight they are delighted to be joined by a group of talented local children who are future bright stars of the stage.

This concert will be held at St Oran's Church in Connel on Friday 23rd June and will be raising funds for the church. We had to sadly postpone a concert at the start of September last year so we are thrilled to be now bringing this concert to Connel.

Tickets are by donation (suggested donation £8) and money raised will be gifted and are available now from Connel Village Store or on the door on the night. If you still have a ticket from last year and want to exchange it please contact Ellie on [email protected].

Come and listen to the multi-trophy winning, truly inspiring, and just generally amazing Oban Gaelic Choir who will be busking at the shop on Saturday 13th May at 11am as part of their Shopathon! You know you want to! 🎶🎶

Our wonderful choir will be out and about this Sat the 13th of May doing a bit of busking which also helps us rehearse and memorise our lyrics working towards competitions!💪Catch us through the day at various different shops listed below.It would be lovely to see you along the way.🎶❤️

We have lost a few friends along the way, but they will remain forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. The correct hours are on the Post Office and Royal Mail websites, on here, on notices inside and outside the shop, or you can simply call the shop. I am not responsible for any other information on other websites. There are a limited amount of stamps available at the shop counter, but not always different values, or foreign stamps. As not all staff are trained on the Post Office, they cannot just ‘nip on’ and see how much something will weigh or cost.
