The support that we've received since launching on 1st March has been incredible - but what's even more incredible is that every single order & sale has enabled us to give even more funding & support to the primates and their habitats; something which was a non-negotiable part of our business plan when we started The Sacred Ape 🦍

Tasting notes 🤌

Just in case you've not caught us at a market or ordered a bottle of The Sacred Ape yet, our tasting notes will help give you an idea of what to expect within each bottle 🥃

Our rum gets its delicious, unique flavour from a hand-picked fusion of spices and botanicals that are smoothly blended with our original recipe rum. We do, of course, add more ingredients than this - but we can't give away all our secrets, right? 🤫

Happy Earth Day 🌎🌿💚

Conservation has always been so important to us, both before we started The Sacred Ape and thereafter. To celebrate and support the environment further, we've decided to double our charity contribution to £1 for every bottle ordered this week ✨

We've had quite a few new followers recently - so if you're new here, we donate 50p from the sale of every bottle of The Sacred Ape rum to Neotropical Primate Conservation, a charity dedicated to the conservation of primates and their habitats and protecting biodiversity in the Neotropics 🌴💚

Our donations will fund projects such as rescuing primates from trafficking, emergency care, reforestation, housing primates who have been removed from crisis/danger, habitat conservation and much more. You've probably seen us mention our sustainability initiative before, or maybe you've read about it on our website? 🤷‍♀️ Either way, we thought we'd give a little bit more info on what it is we're actually doing to support & promote conservation through our brand 💚🤝

We've always been really mindful and passionate about conservation, it's something that was a non-negotiable factor for us when we first started discussing starting our own rum business. How could we support those who need us the most through our business? 🤔 So, when we decided to go ahead with creating The Sacred Ape, we immediately started looking into ape-focused conservation charities that we could support.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we finally decided that the Neotropical Primate Conservation charity was the one for us 🌟 Their values and morals felt very aligned with our own, and their mission of promoting conservation of primates and their habitats, whilst protecting biodiversity in the Neotropics was exactly what we wanted to be a part of. We reached out to them to let them know our plan and it felt really amazing 🤗

So - the plan? For every bottle of The Sacred Ape spiced rum that we sell, we'll be donating 50p to this wonderful charity.
