🌟Day 12 - The ‘Essentials’🌟

Can you believe that we’re already halfway through our Advent Calendar! We hope you’re enjoying it each day 😊

Bit of a different one today…As well as all the nice presents and foods - it’s easy to forget the store cupboard essentials - the key to a stress-free, successful Christmas 🎄

We’ve got nearly everything from washing up liquid to duck/goose fat for some proper ansum roast spuds at Christmas, no need to go the supermarket - we can help with the last minute dash!

🌿🌟Day 11 - Sapling and Bud plants 🌟🌿

We are SO grateful to have the wonderful Sian from Sapling and Bud who keep us topped up with an incredible range of plants from the phone-box outside, all lovingly grown by Sian in her polytunnel! The perfect gift for a green fingered friend 🌳🍀🌿🌵

She’s also keeping us topped up with wreaths of all shapes and sizes - but be quick as they are selling fast! 💨

Thank you Sian, we ‘plant’ do without you!

🌟Day 9 - Popti Crackers 🌟

One good turn deserves another…so one good cheese deserves a good cracker…

Popti Thins are lovingly made at the Norton Barton Artisan Food Village near Bude. These artisan crackers are rich with flavours of butter and made with no artificial colours or preservatives - just pure deliciousness from local ingredients 🥰

They come in an array of flavours and would be fantastic if you ‘popped’ some of our cheeses with them! 😋

🌟Day 9 - Lannarth Gate Farm Produc🌟

We are extremely blessed to have the legendary Chris Hosken deliver fresh, local Helford vegetables to us twice a week. Chris is always at hand and will deliver all year, come rain or shine. Not forgetting the lovely Caroline Hosken, who keeps us stocked with her beautiful flowers 💐

Christmas is no exception…we have a huge array of Chris’ cauliflower, sprouts, cabbage and Caroline’s daffodils (the first sign of Spring! 😍) in stock.

Why not order one of Chris’ Christmas veg boxes from us - ready to collect just in time for Christmas - to make sure your Christmas dinner is full of delicious Cornish produce…

And if luck should have it, Julie caught Chris displaying his sprouts under the mistletoe this morning 🤣🤣

Try the Peninsula Smoked for a rich smoky taste, or if you like creamier cheeses, then try one of the delicious Cornish Brie from Curds and Croust. All would be fantastic with a Halzephron Chutney from Day 5 😋they all taste ‘grate’…

Write a caption... 🌟Day 2 - Chocolate Boxes 🌟 Would it really be Christmas without spending an evening in front of the TV and eating your body weight from enormous box of chocolates? We didn’t think so either! From the classic Terry Orange… (it’s not Terry’s, it’s mine!!) …Quality Street (you can keep the orange creams 🤢, but I’ll have the Hazelnut Caramel 😍)…. to the more unusual Sea Salt Truffles, there’s something in store for all tastebuds. The bars of marzipan Kernow chocolate are flying out!

Winter is on it's way!
Our opening hours for the colder months change on Sunday when the clocks go back ( a little lie-in for us all)
We'll be open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm
On a Sunday we will now be open from 9am until 1pm for the winter.

It's a great time of year for all of our lovely local veg from Chris for your Sunday roasts, and that's how we will be spending our Sunday afternoons of rest, a huge roast and a nap!

Chris's popular sprouts on a stalk will be available in a couple of weeks, can't wait .....
