Our deli counter, looking beautiful. We’ve got a wide range of lunch and snack options, including handmade scotch eggs & frittata from that are to die for; absolutely delicious chicken & ham pie that comes in doorstop size slices; and a range of quiches, including veggie & gluten free options. Our veg shed is full to the brim again with freshly picked, locally grown veg. Thank you very much to Chris for making a second delivery this afternoon. Whilst we can’t possibly compete with some of the bargains the supermarkets put on veg at this time of year (totally undervaluing the work of farmers), we can offer the freshest possible veg, grown only a few miles from the shop and most of it hand picked this afternoon. We sold out this morning but are fully restocked now 😃

As the mother of five young children, I say this from the bottom of my heart: Father Christmas will be visiting the marquee at the shop on the evening of Friday 20th December, and there will be a gin bar 🤭🤗😘

Come & join us for a Christmas party to get the holidays off to a festive start 🎉 We’d love to say thank you to all our lovely customers for your support, so come and have a drink on us 🥂 Everyone welcome (not just those with young children 😃)

Tonight’s Christmas light switch on and cocktail night will go ahead, with the celebrations now taking place in the marquee & car park of @gweekvillagestores We are honoured to have Gweek Silver Band play in our marquee. @saffronhuns will be serving a delicious Indian feast, the village lights committee will be serving mulled wine and mince pies from their gazebo in the car park. Cocktail bar and mini craft fair open from 5pm. Christmas carols start at 5.30pm. Grand light switch on at 7pm. And we’ve ‘Erd tell the big man in red will be making an appearance in the marquee.
