As announced at Autumn Budget 2021, the duty rate on all to***co products will increase by the to***co duty escalator of 2% above RPI inflation. It was also announced that the duty rate for HRT will rise by an additional 4%, to 6% above RPI inflation and the MET by an additional 1%, to 3% above RPI inflation this year.

The new to***co duty rates will have effect from 6pm on 27 October 2021.

Horrific incident in Glasgow!

Death of teenage boy - High Street, Glasgow

A 14-year-old boy has died following an incident at a train station in Glasgow.

Officers were called to High Street around 3.45pm on Saturday, 16 October, following a report that a teenager had been seriously injured.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detective Inspector Iain Nelson of Greater Glasgow Division said:

“This has been a shocking loss of a young life and a significant investigation is underway.

“Specialist officers are supporting the boy’s family at this incredibly difficult time. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can help is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Those who were in the area at the time, or have information which may be relevant, can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2280 of Saturday, 16 October.
