There are a number of customers who use bag-in-box instead of glass bottles. I've been carrying 4 and 5 litre bags, but have just ordered in some 10 litre bags (holds 12 standard bottles). The nice thing is that once opened, these bags preserve the wine for 6+ weeks, whereas a bottle, once opened should be popped in the fridge as it will start oxidizing as soon as it is opened. Anyways these bags (including box) are $15, the bag can be reused up to 7-8 times or more (replacement bags are $8), The box, well it is cardboard, so if kept dry should be fine for at least as long (replacement box is $7) . Dimensions of the box are 10x10x7.5" The box is not as silvery as it looks in the picture. Much lighter when there is no glass. If interested give us a call.

With just over 5 weeks till Christmas, there is little time to get any wine on that will be ready for the holidays (4 week wines, and fruit wines are feasible). Another option, and an easy present, is gift cards. They may be purchased for any of our wines, and all come with an additional $10-off voucher. Call, text, email, or message for any questions or more information. The Gift Cards and voucher do not expire until used. Cheers!

6-weeks till we close up for the holidays. I will still be maintaining the shop, but the last date for wines to go out the door is December 20. If wanting anything for the holidays, right now I would suggest only the 4 and 5 week wines, as the 6 and up will require at least 2 weeks of bottle aging before consumption. We just received our last order for our fiscal year yesterday, and have a pretty good inventory. Ones that may make nice inexpensive gifts are the 4-week Cranberry or Orange Sangria (nicely served warm with a stick of cinnamon), or even our cocktail wines (Tequila Sunrise, Cosmopolitan Blue Hawaiian, or a nice light cran apple wine for those that are not going down south this year), or any of our 4 and 5 week whites. As for reds the best that goes with traditional Christmas fare is Pinot Noir, Gamay, or any of the lighter California wines. If we do not have what you are after, I am happy to provide suggestions on appropriate substitutions. All caught up in the wine shop, hot water on demand really increases efficiency, so did a little chimney sweeping this morning. Checking inventory (new order going in probably next week - so do let me know if there is anything you are interested in for the winter holidays. I've both Cranberry and Cranapple in stock for light red and white fruit wines, and the BC Pinot Noir is excellent with Turkey, Ham, Chocolate, and Cheese - so do let me know and I will add more to this months order. I am not placing orders in November (our year end) or December, but will be putting in a large order in January for the Valentines wines. Cheers!

Yup, moved these new French Oak barrels myself, it was a long long day helping out at a friends winery. Easier when empty. On that note, I am putting forth a wine order around Sept 15th, so if there are any full bodied wines you are after that will be ready for the winter holidays, let me know sooner rather than later. We may put in a follow-up order in mid October, but will not receive any shipments from Nov 1 to Jan 6. Cheers!

Hard to believe School starts up next week. If the celler is getting dry, we have lots of light/medium bodied wines that require little (reds) to no (whites) aging time and ready to bottle in as soon as 4 weeks. A superb deal for lighter end of summer and fall wines. Also great to cook with, sometime I even put the wine in the food!

YOWZA it is TOASTY out there! Decided to put all our fruit wines on sale for the rest of summer. Great with a little bubbly water to cool down on these sweltering days. Call for availability, we have about 30 different styles, all take 4-weeks to make. Cheers!

Here is an interesting wine-based cocktail. I imagine it would work equally well with most red wines. Another fun light cocktail idea is to add soda water to any of our many fruit wines (wines themselves are 7.5% abv), cutting this 50% soda water makes a tasty cool summer treat that you can enjoy all day long.
