Reine Rouge (makes 1 serving)
2 ounces (60ml) Dubonnet rouge
1 ounces (30ml) Dry gin
Lemon twist for garnish

Add the Dubonnet and gin to a tumbler. Fill 3/4 full with ice 🧊 and stir. Garnish with the lemon twist 🍋

Forgot to include this on Friday’s post with our new wines, but this special sparkling wine deserves a post of its own. The winery Movia is located in Slovenia and dates back to the 1700s. Currently, they farm organically and biodynamically and make some of the most eccentric low intervention wines out there. Puro is a slightly pink sparkling wine comprised of Chardonnay and Ribolla. The fun thing about Puro is that you get to disgorge it at home, which is why it’s kept upside down so the sediment remains at the top! I would recommend watching some Youtube videos to see how it’s done. If you’re looking for a party trick, this is it.

🍷Thomas Pico Les Pinot Blacks Irancy • A collaboration among some of the best winemakers in the region. Pinot is coming from the tiny region of Irancy in Burgundy. 🍷Riecine Chianti Classico • 100% Organic Sangiovese planted in limestone and clay soils grown at 450-500m. Aged 14 months in large oak barrels so not to take away from the natural qualities of the wine. This stunner comes in a 1.5L Magnum.
🍷Jean-Claude Ramonet Bourgogne Passetougrain • This burgundy gives you the best of both worlds with Gamay and Pinot Noir. A simple, fresh red with pleasant structure on the palate, this wine will make any turkey dinner sing!

🍸COCKTAIL TIME 🍸
The Yellow Cocktail from David Lebovitz’ “Drinking French”
3/4 oz London Dry Gin (here we’re featuring our gin from )
3/4 oz Suze
3/4 yellow Chartreuse
3/4 freshly squeezed lemon juice
Lemon twist
Add gin, Suze, Chartreuse, and lemon to cocktail shaker and shake with ice until chilled. Strain into cold coupe glass and twist lemon peel to release the oils into the drink. Discard lemon peel and drink up! See next slide for the finished product.

Christmas came early this year! Scout 2019 Riesling and 2020 Syrah are here and very limited. The riesling is fermented and aged in neutral oak for 19 months on the lees (whoa so cool 😱) and the Syrah is aged in qvevri where it sat on the lees for 7 months.
