We're back! Fully recharged after some covert winter operations, we broke cover to attend the Tamworth Beerfest this weekend.

Great response from the locals, including a large number of veterans living in the region.

Big shout out to Steelers for being part of our August fund raising efforts in support of Veteran homelessness. $2 from every schooner of Australia's Aussiest beer, Veteran Lager, is being donated.

Big thanks to everyone who supported our charity keg at yesterday. First keg was knocked over in less than 2hrs, raising around $700 all up to help homeless veterans.

More venues being activated around NSW this month as we continue to raise funds for RSL Lifecare Veteran Services. Stay tuned for updates.

With this week being National Homelessness Week, we're doing our bit to support the 5,800 Veterans estimated to be homeless in any 12 month period.

And with the support of some great venues such as The Illawarra Hotel, we plan to raise funds for RSL LifeCare in partnership with RSL & Services Clubs Association.

We've donated a keg of Australia's Aussiest beer, Veteran Lager, which Ryan and his all-star team are going to sell for $5 a schooner between 3 - 6pm this Friday (or until it runs out). EVERY SINGLE CENT is going to our charity partners.

And if we can empty that keg before 4:30pm, Ryan is going to put on another keg!

We'll update with other venues getting on board, but if you're in the Wollongong area, get on down to The Illawarra this Friday and help us do our bit for homeless Vets.

Over the past few weeks, we've had the pleasure of getting to know Tim from Veteran Brewing Co. He's a great local bloke who is on a mission to raise a million bucks a year for returned service men & women, as well as their families. He's created a beer as a platform to achieve this, and it's everything you'd want a lager to be. We sell beer, so we reckon we can help him out.

This week is National Homelessness Week and what better time to double down to support the 5,800 returned veterans who are experiencing homelessness.

With that in mind, Tim has donated a keg of the good stuff and we'll be passing out $5 Vet Lagers THIS FRIDAY from 3 - 6pm. Every single cent from each sale will support Tim in turning hops, to hope for these veterans.

Come by and put your drinking arm to work doing some good.

Today is the start of Homelessness Week across Australia.

With at least 116,000 people reported to be experiencing homelessness on any given night, more than 5,800 of them are Veterans.

Veteran Brewing Co. is teaming up with some great outlet partners this week to raise funds to support charities dedicated to assisting homeless Vets.

This winter has been one of the coldest and wettest in a long time. Increases in the cost of living and interest rates, as well as rents rising at their fastest levels in years, are creating problems for many Australians.

But spare a thought for our Veterans.

It's estimated that more than 5,000 Veterans will be homeless in Australia any 12 month period. Of those sleeping rough, Veterans are 26% more likely to be suffering mental health problems than non-Veteran homeless ... will be 6 times more likely to have had more than 9 hospital inpatient admissions in a 6 month period than non-Veteran counterparts*. I could go on, but you get the picture.

We don't have the answers. But we do know that more needs to be done to support those who have served this nation.
Veteran Brewing Co. has already donated funds to organisations like Homeless Heroes, and will soon be launching our next fund raising campaign to do more.

Following on from our inaugural fund raising campaign, our Founder and Commander in Beer, Tim Lewis, was proud to hand over a cheque for $2,000 to Doug Baird OAM, President of veteran charity, Cam's Cause.

Cam’s Cause was established by the Baird family to honour the memory of Corporal Cameron Baird, VC, MG. Corporal Baird was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2013, for which he was awarded the Victoria Cross, Australia’s highest honour for bravery. This was in addition to the Medal for Gallantry, Australia’s 3rd highest honour, which Cameron received for earlier actions. Our donation will help the Cam’s Cause mission to support soldier welfare.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who supported our first ever fund raising initiative, the Shout a Digger a Beer campaign. We raised $5,680 with every single cent going to 4 different charities that do amazing work to support veterans and their families.

We were also able to provide more than 1,000 free schooners of Veteran Lager to current and former serving military personnel on Anzac Day, thanks to the support of our venue partners.

Our 2022 goal is to raise $100,000, through product sales and other campaigns … so follow our pages or sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date.

Thanks to the great support of our venue partners, more than 1,000 current and former military personnel will get a free beer this Anzac Day courtesy of our Shout a Digger a Beer campaign. More than $2,000 has already been donated to some great causes, but none of it would be possible without support from leading community organisations such as the Steelers , Revesby Workers , Club Rivers , Dubbo RSLm Figtree Sports and Seven Hills Toongabbie RSL.

A great 3 days camping in the Veteran Brewing Co. outreach beast. Lots of conversations with passers-by about Veteran challenges, freebies handed out, and chats about what it is we seek to achieve through sales of our beers.

"Mogosaurus" was unstoppable. Looking forward to sharing these experiences with anyone who wants to join us in the future.

Meet Mogosaurus. Technically known as a Unimog 1700, this is the newly minted Veteran Brewing Co mobile command and control vehicle.

We're off to test it out in the Victorian High Country, and to help educate the masses about what good beer actually looks and tastes like.

Stock has now been dispatched to all First Choice liquor stores in NSW and ACT. However, we have no means of knowing whether or not our cans have made it onto the shelves, or if it’s been sold out, whether new stock has been ordered.

So we’re looking for volunteers to help us track stock availability. If you live near one of the stores listed below, we’d love it if you could help – nothing complicated, just call or visit the store to see if they’ve got Veteran Lager available.

Checkout where you can purchase Veteran Lager – not bad for a beer that’s only been available for 2 weeks.

Unfortunately the rains have impacted some of our deliveries of Veteran Lager to First Choice liquor stores around the country. The good news is that deliveries are complete to the NSW/ACT Distribution Centre and stock should be appearing in stores any day now, if not already on the shelves.

We’re just waiting on delivery confirmation for QLD, VIC, SA and WA. Stay tuned for how you may be able to help us track availability.
