We're lucky to receive a small amount of these beauties from Agricola Vintners.

While working full time at Rockford, Callum started Agricola in 2018. Having made wine with his legendary Dad (David Powell of Torbreck), Callum has been inspired by the concept of provenance/ terroir. This shows in the hand illustrated vinyard maps on the labels.

These wines are perfumed, complex and naturally balanced from the Barossa and Eden Valley.

A winemaker to look out for and a wine to drink now or put away for 5-10yrs 🍷

Giaconda is one of the country’s great wine producers, producing one of Australia’s greatest chardonnays. Founded by mechanical engineer Rick Kinzbrunner in 1982.

In 2003, Rick won Australian winemaker of the year. In 2006 he was named the top 10 white wine producer in the World!

The 2010 and 2011 Chardonnays were awarded the best Australian Chardonnay, and the 2021 Chardonnay was awarded 100 points!

Rick is rightfully considered one of Australia's premier Chardonnay producers, and Giaconda Chardonnay is sought after by wine lovers and collectors the world over.

The Yakima Chief Hops Farm to Pint project connects multigenerational hop growers from the Pacific Northwest with the finest brewers across the globe.

This instalment cements an already long standing relationship between Balter and Loftus Ranches incredible Smith Family. They've used their unsung hero Loral hops to create a Pacific Northwest Pale Ale a bit like Pat, Mike and their entire family a long-standing American classic with rich character.

TASTING NOTES FROM THE BREWER:

Maris Otter, rolled wheat and a well-measured dose of Munich and Carared malts lay down a runway of warm, rounded toasty notes and give ample support to let the new seasons hop characters take flight.

Loral, Cryo Mosaic, and Citra sourced from our great friends at the legendary Loftus Farms in Moxee, Washington sends aloft notes of light passionfruit, mango, rockmelon, and blueberries. Hints of sweet jasmine and potpourri swoop and swirl in and around candy notes that compliment the rich warm malt tones and touch down for a perfect landing with a satisfyingly balanced finish 👌🏼 🍻

Bearing the name of the celebrated second generation Midleton Master Distiller, the Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy is a single pot still whiskey which has been matured exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels with a small quantity matured in virgin American oak. It is the first permanent expression to bear the Midleton name. With only approximately 2500 bottles released each year, this is a much sought after bottle 🥃

Silverstream Wines Blanc de Blancs is back on the shelves 🥂

The base wine is a blend of vintages from 2011 to 2014 and has spent up to 10 years on lees before being disgorged in 2021.

The time on lees allows the wine to build up complexity and structure on the palate.

Produced from 100% Chardonnay to create a Methode Traditionelle Blanc de Blancs style 🍾

This Shiraz from Turkey Flat Vineyards is made from some of the world's oldest known Shiraz vines in the heart of the Barossa. Dating back from 1846, these very low yielding gnarly bush vines are rarely used in their Ancestor wine, therefore go into this very modestly priced premium Shiraz.

Recently rated 98 points by the Halliday Wine Companion we've received a small quantity, just in time for this cold spell!
