The Cosa Nostra ‘Il Capo’ from truly is one of
our all time favourites. The 2019 release is a blend of 90% Heathcote Nero D’Avola and 10% Negroamaro from Merrebin, a beautiful Italian inspired blend showing red berries, plum and lovely spicy notes making it the dream paring with a pizza, Friday night sorted…🍷🍕

Our top three Sparkling Red selections for the winter!

Lambrusco… lightly sparkling and ruby red in colour, the Lambrusco Salamino is soft, approachable and beautifully balanced. This richly coloured drop is powerful yet elegant, this fuller bodied, juicy sparkling withholds an explosion of textural notes.

The Louis is a beautifully matured Barossa Sparkling Shiraz, the base wine was vinified from a then 107 year old Shiraz vineyard with the wine comprised almost entirely from the 2005 vintage, following nearly 3 years in barrel the base was tiraged and spent just under 10 years on lees prior to this first disgorgement. Wow, just wow!

Lastly, the Sparkling Red from the team at shows fine bubbles over a smooth spice-laden palate that resolves into a bowl of Christmas pudding, Christmas in July might’ve come early 😉

Pair at your peril with a platter of prosciutto, a chuck of pecorino or parmigiano reggiano, roasted peppers, olives, salami, and of course some ciabatta bread drizzled in olive oil, happy days 🍷

To celebrate World Rainforest Day on the 22nd of June (Next Thursday) we’ve teamed with to bring you a tasting event that celebrates and acknowledges for leading the way in sustainable production of spirits in Australia! 💚

Sustainability and rainforests are in Brookies nature, quite literally, in 1988, Pam & Martin Brook bought a rundown dairy farm and over 35,000 subtropical rainforest trees were planted. Today, this landscape has transformed into a haven for birds and wildlife. Of the 25 botanicals in Brookie’s Byron Dry Gin, 17 are sourced locally, many from our rainforest. Now a certified B corporation producing beautifully crafted Whisky, Gins and Liqueurs surrounded by their rainforest in the Byron Bay Northern Rivers, completely immersed in nature and their objective to pursue a sustainable future in distilling!

SWEETDRAM BLEND NO.1

First, the foundation: Sweetdram North British single grain whisky aged in virgin oak, the reliable, woody backbone on which to build. Then sherried Invergordon for a bit of punch and depth and peated Ardmore for body, length, and a wispy touch of sweet billowy smoke. Vatted as one and finished in barrels seasoned with Tawny port from Douro, Portugal, to pull the individual components together.

The result is a modern dram that sits somewhere between Scotch and a round, complex bourbon. A nice, clean, easy drinker with nuance, charm, and gusto. Simply sip and savour – with a dash of water to release the oils and esters – or enjoy as a long drink with dry ginger ale.

Featuring a structured and complex Grenache from the Coopers showing lovely red berries along with herbal and amaro-esque notes. FOUR PILLARS X WARNER’S GREEN APPLE AND RHUBARB GIN HAS LANDED!

“Like most “good” stories involving Brits & Aussies, the idea for this gin started with a drink in a pub. Discourse on cricket quickly turned to gin and it became evident that Warners and Four Pillars had a lot in common.

We both love a good time and a good drink, and we’re both passionate about sustainable distilling using real, local ingredients to achieve big, natural flavours. So, naturally, it was decided we had to do something together, and thus our fifth Distiller Series gin was born. We agreed to trade our Shiraz grapes for some of their estate-grown rhubarb, and what better to complement rhubarb than delicious fresh apples grown in the Yarra Valley.

Our fifth Distiller Series gin takes fresh rhubarb and Yarra Valley apples and combines them with rich brown spices to make a gin that is bright, rich and full of depth. Using freshly pressed rhubarb shipped in from our friends at Warner’s Distillery in the UK, this gin is basically apple and rhubarb crumble in a glass. But with a whole lot more freshness and maybe a touch more alcohol…” -

Still with plenty of spring in its step the 2012 Museum Release White Label Pinot Noir, with over 10 years of cellaring is approaching its peak. The wine features a savoury nose and complex flavours on the palate, silky texture and really fine tannin.

The 2012 growing season was beautiful from start to finish with the result of such perfect conditions being a classic age worthy vintage. Whisson Lake makes premium wines from the highest-altitude Pinot Noir vineyard within South Australia's Adelaide Hills.
