Who’s down for a special kind of cocktail?👀

All you need is :

* 300g blackberries (fresh or frozen)
* 1 cinnamon stick
* 1 bay leaf
* 150g golden caster sugar
* 700ml vodka

The first step is to Tip the blackberries, cinnamon stick, bay leaf and sugar into a large sterilised jar. Pour over the vodka, seal the jar and swirl around to dissolve the sugar. Store in a cool, dark place and turn the jar once a day for the first week.

The second step happens after two weeks strain the vodka through a fine mesh sieve (see tip, below) and decant into bottles, then label. It will keep its colour for a few months, and will be drinkable for up to a year. Use the infused blackberries in bakes or meringue-based desserts.

The real way to drink peach ice tea 😉

Recipe:

1 camomile tea bag
100ml pink gin
100ml spiced rum
100ml elderflower cordial
100ml pink grapefruit juice
Ice
Thyme sprigs, to garnish

After you make the camomile tea, let it cool down and mix all the ingredients!

This weeks spotlight is on Le Roux & Fourie Vignerons - Wines and their beautiful collection of wines 😍😍

“At the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountains lies Le Roux & Fourie Vignerons, on the farm Buitenstekloof - the farm has been established circa 1823. We discovered 4 of the first vines, still growing deep within indigenous bush in the kloof, where some of our Le Roux forebear pioneers had first built their house and established a small vineyard and almond orchard. Our cellar is the first straw bale cellar in South Africa and also the highest straw bale structure in SA (9 m at its highest point).”
