// A fond farewell (sort of) //

Dear friends,

We have some news to share with you:
In June 1998 we started trading as the 24/hr-a-day, 7-day-a-week Oak Cottage Motors convenience store, which I’m sure many of you Oak Cottage loyalists will remember! Then, in 2004, we rebranded as Oak Cottage KWIKSPAR and a few years later, in 2007, we opened our TOPS at SPAR.

Such has been your support for our business that we outgrew our tiny KWIKSPAR and in June 2016 opened our bigger and better premises as SPAR Oak Cottage. Throughout this time it’s support from you, our loyal customers, that has made us love what we do.

But, with 21 years in the business, and like any 21-year-old, we felt it’s time for a change. To that end, we’re handing the management of the store over to SPAR corporate from November 20th, but the friendly faces within SPAR Oak Cottage won’t change. It’s business as usual!

In fact, you’ll still see OUR friendly faces too, as we’ll be continuing our management of Oak Cottage BP next door.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you for all your support through the years – we’ll make sure to catch up with you on your way into, or out of, SPAR. Thank you, too, to all our fantastic staff and to SPAR corporate for the support over the years. We’d say we’ll miss you all – but we’ll be seeing you regularly from Oak Cottage BP!!

: In order to redeem your Smart Shopper points for fuel, you need to meet the following minimum requirements:

✅ Have a point balance of at least R75 or 7 500 points.

✅ The minimum value that can be redeemed is R75.

✅ The redemption option will not be available to customers that have points balance lower than R75.

✅ A customer can utilise their Smart Shopper points to pay for the entire transaction or part pay for their fuel transaction with either points and cash or points and card.

✅ There is a maximum daily redemption limit per customer of R3000. Customers will continue to earn 10 Smart Shopper points per litre. Customers will earn points on the value redeemed as well.
