While we are well known for our gins, we do produce a range of other award-winning spirits. We are exceptionally proud to present to you our beautiful award-winning Premium Vodka.

Paying tribute to the legend of Adamastor, the wild angry Titan imprisoned by the gods at the Cape of Storms, we have tamed a rough wild spirit through a triple distillation process and cold filtering and bottled it for your enjoyment.

Enjoy neat as a smooth warming vodka shot, or splash out with any of your favourite vodka cocktails. Makes a sublime Moscow Mule, a smooth, elegant Vodka Martini, a tangy Vodka Sour.

Be warned though: once you try it, you can never go back ……

Introducing our very special range of small-batch spirits – working title 'Oddbins'.

When we develop and make spirits for clients, or experiment with new and unique recipes to add to our repertoire, we sometimes end up with a little left over that is simply too delicious to discard. Since we needed to clear space, we decided to release a selection of the best and most interesting spirits as 'Oddbins' expressions.

In ultra small batches ranging from 12 to 120 bottles only, some may not be available again for a long long time when these sell out, or at least until we can clear space in our catalogue. 

One thing is for sure: they are all delicious, interesting and some are quite rare and unique. They make exceptional gifts as well!

Currently available are:
- Chocolate Gin Infusion: the most complex and unique spirit we have ever made. Max 2 per customer.
- Spiced Arrack – coconut spirit from South East Asia, infused with sweet spices; awesome with ginger-flavoured mixer
- Pink Mandarin Gin: an export gin infused with sweet naartjie and a pink floral blush
- African Dawn Gin: a classic blue export gin, infused with blueberries
- Cask-aged Potstill Brandy: oh sorry, that is already sold out!
- Jackass Spiced Rum: a sneak preview of our newest and most delicious rum recipe yet.

Local customers can taste and buy at the distillery, but (sorry) these are not available on our online shop. Call or email us though, and we will make a plan for you!

Our Green Absinthe wins its first medal!

We are so pleased to announce that our Absinthe won a Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge this year in its first competition.

Absinthe is a classic herbal spirit with a pronounced aniseed flavour. For many years it was actually (undeservedly) banned in many countries and developed a bit of a naughty reputation, but it is now enjoyed globally.

Our recipe substitutes local botanicals for many traditional ones (most notably African Wormwood) for a beautifully herbal aperitif with a hint of citrus and mint that pays tribute to amazing flora.

We are so pleased to announce that our Orange Bitters won a Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge this year.

Orange Bitters is a must have in many cocktails, and when we couldn’t find it easily in shops, we developed our own. We are so proud that it has won a medal in its first competition.

Our favourite cocktail for this Bitters is a Rum Old Fashioned, which we make using our award-winning Amber Rum – deliciously warming for those cold winter evenings! Or if you are adventurous, try it in our Co**se Reviver #2 cocktail.
We also use orange bitters a lot in cooking, to give intense citrus flavours to creams, butters, sauces and dressings. Add a splash to the icing on your next batch of cupcakes or carrot cake. Don’t be shy when you use bitters – 5 or 6 healthy dashes is what you are after.

We are so pleased to announce that our Aromatic Bitters won a Gold Medal at the Intercontinental Spirits Challenge this year.

We began developing our Bitters a year ago when the local price of that-other-famous-bitters got so expensive, and we are thrilled with the performance of our delicious Aromatic Bitters in its first competition.

In a handy-sized 100ml bottle, the Bitters is great in the many cocktails that use an aromatic bitters, like a G&T or the Gin Sour shown here. It also makes a delicious non-alcoholic Rock Shandy – a cocktail invented right here in South Africa.

We also use our bitters in cooking to add piquant sweet flavours to sauces, gravies, icing on cakes, creams and dressings. Don’t be shy when you use bitters – splash it on as though you are a celebrity chef!

The drink that improved even a pirates mood - the Pina Colada!

The earliest known mention of this cocktail goes back to the 19th century, when legend says a Puerto Rican pirate captain gave his crew a beverage of white rum, coconut, and pineapple to boost their morale!
