We are excited to announce that the foundation has been laid, and the support pillars are in place. The builders started with the brickwork on the ground floor, and soon, we will see the new building taking shape.

Although the progress feels slow, we need to remember to be patient. Great things take time and are not built in a day.

A lot has happened in the past month, although it doesn’t look like it.

The old workshop and, lately, Monte Vista Carwash building, as we knew it, was demolished, and the foundation of the future building has been excavated. Over 10 tons of steel have been delivered, and the rebar cages (steel structures) have been bound together and placed in the foundations as reinforcement.

Next week the concrete works will start, and in due course, the new building will rise out of the ground.

As JM Moors states, “Build a strong foundation, and you can reach even the most unthinkable heights.”

As the saying goes, “If you want to build a better home (business), you must first demolish the old one”, and that’s what is currently happening. We are excited to report that the first building (the old Carwash building) has been demolished, and the rubble is being removed.

We all have mixed feelings of excitement for the change and sadness due to the building being part of us for so long.

We say goodbye to old memories and hello to new ones.

We are excited to welcome The Construction Company on site. They are preparing the site to demolish the carwash/workshop building. Once the demolition is done, the structure of the new main building will commence.

Please remember that Monte Vista Convenience Centre will continue trading as usual, and our friendly staff are eager to provide delightful customer service to our loyal customers.
