🚨 Last Wine Tasting of the year! 🇭🇺

Join us in welcoming Peter Vida Jr. from to Blackrock. He'll guide us through the wines of his family estate in Szekszard, Hungary.

It's the perfect opportunity to try the indigenous grape varieties Kadarka and Kekfrankos, as well as some heavy hitter wines for Christmas. The highlight of the night will be a special vertical tasting of 'La Vida', the estate's top wine.

Thanks everybody for joining us yesterday for a Uruguay & Tannat tasting!

We kicked off with an Albarino from , followed by the RPF Pinot Noir by - the best example of how Uruguay can produce elegant, burgundian style Pinot.

Then a classic Madiran set the tone for the evening. We tasted 4 different expressions of Tannat by

- Cisplatino: fresh, vibrant, fruit forward
- Rio de los Pajaros: a nod to the Rhone, Tannat blended with Syrah and Viognier
- RPF Tannat: the flagship, classic full bodied Tannat
- Pisano Arretxea: only produced in the best years, class.

The Pinot, the blend and the Pisano-Arretxea were the clear favourites of the night!

Les Beaujolais Nouveaux sont arrivés! 🍇 🇫🇷

Released on the 3rd Thursday of November, the Beaujolais Nouveau wines are made with Gamay, fermented just for a few weeks after the harvest, and then released to the market to be enjoyed by everyone.

Made with carbonic maceration, the wines are young, fruity and fresh with low tannins and plenty of light raspberry, cranberry and bubblegum flavours.

They are quite limited in stock and won't last long! (Neither in the shop nor at your table 😁)

What an amazing Saturday we had with the Greek Wine Fair! Thanks to everybody for joining us!

The Assyrtiko-Monemvasia blend from the island of Tinos was one of the favourite white.

The Kotsifali-Mavrotragano blend was definitely a red that stood out.

It is an absolute pleasure to stock Lindes de Remelluri!

An essential and much needed project by Telmo Rodriguez, aimed to revitalise Rioja as a region and shift the focus back to the source of the wine: the vineyards and the growers.

While commercially successful in the past decades, Telmo believes that the Rioja model that focuses on wood and age rather than provenance and fruit is not sustainable. And so do we!

"Lindes" is a project that showcases the terroir of different villages of Rioja. Even though these villages have an ancient vine-growing tradition, they never had the opportunity to show what their place is about.

"San Vicente de la Sonsierra" is just one of the villages that Lindes brings to light, but we expect more to come, like the super exciting "Salinillas de Buradon".

A huge thanks to the team for organising a Masterclass with Telmo Rodriguez himself last month!

🇦🇺🍇 From the eccentric genius that is Chester Osborn, we’ve recently welcomed some ‘Museum’ releases of three of iconic wines. That is - bottles that had been cellared at the winery, ensuring the perfect conditions for ageing and trust-worthy provenance.

The Dry Dam Riesling 2015 is an outsanding example that not just German Riesling can age beautifully - and at an unbelievable price!

The Laughing Magpie 2015 is a lovely blend of Shiraz and Viognier, both of which have amalgamated fantastically with the time in bottle.

The Coppermine Road 2014 is their flagship Cab Sauv. It stands in the perfect spot of being powerful yet tamed; developed yet youthful enough to have at least another decade to evolve positively.

🇬🇷 Greek Wine Fair 🍷

Join us on Saturday 4th November to discover some amazing wines from an exciting country with an ancient tradition of winemaking.

Our Wine Club Tastings are back! Save the date - Thursday 28th September.

We are delighted to welcome top English producer to Blackrock Cellar for an unforgettable evening.

We will discuss all things Sparkling from the South of England - terroir, climate change, winemaking. And of course, we will taste their whole range of award-winning wines, accompanied by Joël's famous platters.

The tasting runs for 1.5 hours, starting at 19:00 sharp on Thursday 28th of September. Limited numbers available!

Caught on your way home thinking I've no clue what to have for dinner?

We've been there - what about we sort your dinner out and recommend you the perfect pairing to treat yourself?

Try the Linguine Pasta by with their own traditional Carbonara and La Collina extra virgin Olive Oil. The Malandrino Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a no brainer option to go with it.

Give the Fusilli Pasta by a go with either the Arrabiata or Roast Red Pepper sauce by Wicklow's , and a touch of organic extra virgin olive oil. Any Chianti is a match made in heaven for tomato based sauces, but none better than the elegant Chianti Rufina by Selvapiana.

Don't forget to grab some crisps on your way out!
