Cigar of the Week 11/22/2024: Tatuaje Cojonu 2012 Sumatra

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra
Filler: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan

This cigar comes out of the gate strong with amazing flavors of coffee and wood. And, off the rip, the retrohale is extremely flavorful and smooth! There is a slight spice, but nothing too harsh or anything. What does come next is a very buttery-light earthy flavor. Very enjoyable, and a great first third!
The second third opens up with a decent amount of sweetness, but still earthy. There is a doughy flavor that reminds me of the smell of a freshly made donut! There is a citrus note that comes and goes fairly quickly. And, the woody flavor some the first few puffs is now more of a sweet oak flavor, which ends the second third.
The final third brings out a floral flavor, and a touch of pepper. The coffee from before is now a prominent espresso flavor. A complimentary chocolate flavor comes out as well! There is a nice cedar flavor that joins in nearing the end of this awesome cigar! Before putting this cigar down, there is a touch of cream.
This cigar’s flavor was all over the place, in the best way possible! Come get yours, as supplies last!

This cigar starts out of the gate strong, with a fresh baked brownie, chocolate flavor! There are notes of leather shortly after that wonderful pallet filling chocolate! About an inch into this delicious cigar, there is a tad of oak flavor that joins in as well. Right before getting into the second third, I get a touch of cedar.
There is a bit of sweetness that joins in at the second third as well as some balanced spicy notes. As I continue smoking it, I notice notes of leather, as well as a very buttery feel that comes out. There is a bit of citrus that comes into play, as the second third comes to an end.
The final third is the most earthy, and notes of wood and light nuts join in. There are some slight fruity notes that come into play as well. That said, this part of the cigar is definitely becoming the most rich. And, I notice very complimentary flavors of coffee, as well as raisin! And to finish this cigar of the way it started, those notes of that chocolate from the start come back out one more time!
This is an awesome cigar, that we are very happy to have as this week’s cigar of the week! So, come get yours, as supplies last!

Today, for Veterans Day, we will be honoring one of our recently passed loyal customers who was a proud Veteran who served our Country for 12 years in the US Navy. This box of ci**rs was ordered for him and it was his favorite cigar. It is the “Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Real Twisted Toro”. We will be offering this cigar free of charge in honor of his life and service to our Country to the first 25 Veterans who come in and mention this post.
Thank you for your service- it was our sincere honor to know you! ❤️🤍💙

This cigar starts out with a very slight sweet; spicy flavor. What is interesting is it quickly becomes very herbaceous, while keeping the spiciness to it! Somewhat expectedly, the smoke becomes fairly earthy, and before getting out of the first third, a cocoa flavor comes in.
This second third starts much sweeter, and to my surprise, a little bit of mint, which is very interesting, nonetheless, comes out ! Shortly after the mint comes and goes, there is a black pepper note that joins in, as well as finishing off very nutty.
The final third is honestly a nice combination of the first and second sections of this cigar, as it’s lightly earthy at this point, as a grassy flavor comes out, and instead of just being sweet, there is a caramel-sugariness to the smoke that is quite nice! And, the herb flavors come back, as it’s fairly savory towards the end. And, right before putting this cigar down, there are floral notes that come out.
This was a very interesting, and really nice cigar! So, come get yours as supplies last

This cigar, that has an amazing draw out of the gate, also has nice, slightly spicy flavors. More specifically, those bakery spices like cinnamon that I enjoy so much come very early in this stick! A brown sugar flavor joins in, as well as a nice creaminess, as the spiciness from the starts dies down at the end of the first third.
The second third, which is still creamy, also brings out some leathery notes. Something that I rarely notice in ci**rs, that I do in this one, is a bread/doughy flavor- really interesting and tasty. At around the halfway point of this cigar, it does switch up quite a bit, as a black pepper comes out, but it doesn’t last for long. What does come out is an earthy, woody flavor, that also brings some richness into this smoke!
The final third brings along a little bit of caramel, that goes well with the continuing sweetness. The black pepper tries to make an attempt to come back, but is quickly over shadowed by a very prominent nutty flavor. Nearing the end of this stick, there is a little bit of citrus flavor, and finishes with a touch of oak!
This is a very enjoyable cigar, so come get yours now, as supplies last!

This cigar starts out with a lot of chocolate flavor, with a very nice richness. There is a little bit of cedar flavor that comes out, and is fairly sweet. As I continue smoking this tasty cigar, a raisin flavor joins in as well. Getting to the end of the first third, a sweet vanilla flavor is apparent.
The second third is noticeably earthy, and not as sweet. That being said, there still is sweetness. A woody flavor joins in, and a surprising citrus flavor comes out. The earthiness becomes more specific, as tea leaf notes join the party before getting to the final third of this stick!
The final third is probably my favorite part of the cigar at this point, as cinnamon and other bakery spices come out! In addition, a light orange zesty flavor comes out too. I do notice a bit of coffee flavor that is quite nice. And, to end this great stick, some light spices come out!
This, like every cigar Fuente makes, was extremely enjoyable, and at a great price point! So, come get yours as supplies last!

Cigar of the Week 10/18/2024: Ashton Cabinet #3

Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Filler: Dominican Republic
Binder: Dominican Republic

This cigar, which may be one of the best Connecticut wrapped cigar I’ve ever had, starts out either that classic creaminess you’d expect from a Connecticut! This cigar does get slightly spicy a few puffs in, and is just so buttery, it would go amazing with a nice cup of coffee! The spices calm down a bit, and the end of the first third brings out a nutty/almond flavor.
The second third brings out a natural sweetness, and speaking of how well this cigar would go with coffee, I get notes of coffee and espresso. There are some vanilla notes that really develop this second third, and to finish it off, floral notes join in!
The final third is surprising to me, as notes of pepper come out, and the smoke is a little oaky. A natural sweetness, that makes the pepper die down a good amount, comes out, and there are very very light notes of honey! To finish off this amazing cigar, some cedar flavors come out.
This really is an amazing cigar, and I can’t recommend it enough! So, come get yours today, as supplies last!

Cigar of the Week 10/11/2024: Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Maduro

Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf

We have featured the 8-5-8 natural as cigar of the week, in the past. But, this time we’re going to switch it up to the maduro version! And, if you’ve had the natural, you’ll notice right away that this is fairly different!

This cigar starts off with noticeable chocolate/cocoa notes. This does stick around, but the cigar does have a nice, slightly sweet cedar flavor that is very nice! Something I tend to pick up in several Arturo Fuente ci**rs is raisin- and this one is no exception. Along with the raisin, there is a slight woody flavor that comes out as I switch into the second third of this stick.
The second third brings an expected bit of spice, which is always nice, in my opinion. Shortly after, there is a floral flavor that joins in. The sweetness from before comes out even more so at this point, as a sugary flavor comes into play. The spices start to die down as the second third finishes off with some citrus flavor.
The final third is probably the most different part of the stick so far, as I figured it would become stronger- and though it does, earthy; peppery notes join in. But almost immediately, the cigar switches up to a more mellow, grassy flavor. Shortly after, a coffee flavor that is accompanied by a nice creamy flavor brings us to the end of this stick!
Arturo Fuente ci**rs speak for themselves! This one is yet another extremely tasty, well priced stick! So, come get yours as supplies last!

Cigar of the Week 10/4/2024: Plasencia Alma Fuerte Néstor IV

Wrapper: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua

I don’t think I can say enough positive things about this cigar. I have loved this cigar from the very first time I tried it!
This cigar starts out with a nice, sweet spice- that is not overpowering. Some chocolatey notes show up, as well as some light fruity notes. As I continue to smoke this wonderful cigar, I pick up some cedar notes- something I expected, as I have smoked this cigar several times! Before getting into the second third of this stick, a nutty flavor comes out.
The second third, while becoming slightly sweet, an oak flavor shows up. A little bit of vanilla comes out, and the smoke becomes creamy. I also pick up a touch of leather. The creamy flavor does stick around through the end of the second third, and a bit of coffee flavor comes out too.
The final third of this stick becomes a little bit floral and is also noticeably less sweet. Notes of black pepper come out, but not for long, as the long anticipated cinnamon spices show up- a flavor that, if you have read my previous reviews, I absolutely love to taste! A few puffs before putting this delicious cigar down, I taste a powdered sugar note.
Like I said, I absolutely love this stick, and I would recommend this to almost anyone, so come get yours, as supplies last!

Cigar of the Week 9/27/2024: Luciano The Dreamer Belicoso

Wrapper: Ecuador
Filler: Nicaragua and Peru
Binder: Nicaragua

This is the first cigar of the week that I have (technically) already done. The reason is, though it has expected similarities to the previous size- the Lancero (Cigar of the Week 12/29/23), it does have some differences that makes it worth trying both!

Spices show up almost right away, and the sweetness that I expected to notice has shown up shortly after that! There is a fruitiness that I don’t recall picking up in the other size of this stick. Which is a nice reminder that the size and shape of the cigar does make a difference with its flavor! There is a touch of a light woody note I pick up just before getting into the second third.
The second third is where the cigar is becoming slightly earthy, and definitely floral! A bit of earth, and a lot more sweetness joins in at this point. I do notice a touch of brown sugar, and just a bit of cinnamon just barely sneaks into the second third!
The final third brings out a touch of coffee and a bit of pepper. There is a light grassy note I’m getting, and a little bit of spice comes back at this point of the cigar. There is a little bit of nuttiness I’m noticing as well. And, as I was assuming, a nice creamy taste comes out to finish of this cigar!
I really like this cigar, and frankly don’t know if I prefer this or the Lancero version of this stick!
Come try yours today, as supplies last!

Cigar of the Week 9/20/2024: Leaf by Oscar Maduro Toro

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Jalapa Binder: HondurasFiller: Honduras

This is the second cigar from Leaf by Oscar I’ve made cigar of the week, and this one is excellent as well!
This cigar starts out with a fair amount of cocoa flavor. What comes with this is a nice spiciness that is accompanied by a bit of caramel. A bit of earth comes out, and nearing the end of the first third, a bit of wood joins in!
The second third becomes much sweeter, and notes of cedar come out. The sweetness seems to tone the spicy notes down quite a bit. The smoke becomes a bit creamy, and a touch of leather comes out as well. There is a fruity flavor that ends around the last bit of the second third.
The final third turns that fruitiness into a more specific raisin flavor, and a bit of pepper comes out as well. Shortly after the pepper comes and goes, a light vanilla flavor with some coffee notes are apparent. The cocoa from the beginning comes back around one last time before putting this stick out!
This was a well constructed, very tasty cigar! So, come get yours today, as supplies last!

Cigar of the Week 9/13/2024: CAO America Potomac

Wrapper: Connecticut / Connecticut Broadleaf
Filler: Dominican, Italian, Nicaraguan, American
Binder: Brazilian

This cigar starts out with notes of cedar and a bit of earth. There are some cocoa flavors as well as a sweet spice. The sweetness turns into a butteriness that is quite pleasant! Shortly after that, there is a very strong nutty flavor.
Getting into the second third, the cigar brings out notes of fruit and oak. At this point, the stick is creamy and still fairly sweet! Some espresso notes come out, and is much earthier now. Before getting into the final third of this stick, notes of pepper come out.
The final third of this stick starts out a bit floral, and a touch of vanilla shows up as well. There is a little bit of leather showing up with the floral flavors, and the sweetness dies down a bit, and some lighter notes of coffee and sweet grass show up, finishing off this stick!
This was an enjoyable cigar that is available now, so come get yours, as supplies last!

Cigar of the Week 9/6/2024: Stolen Throne 3 Kingdoms Toro

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua

Not only is this a post about the cigar of the week, but a welcome to the newest brand, Stolen Throne!

I’ve had a few of Stolen Throne’s ci**rs so far, and I have been very impressed. I imagine that this cigar won’t be any different!
This stick starts out with a prominent chocolate flavor, which I would imagine would go extremely well with a nice pour of port wine! There is a little bit of sweet grass notes coming through as well, and some leather. Though the chocolate is definitely still around, there is a nice coffee flavor that shows up!
The second third of this stick brings a little bit more sweetness into play, and is a little bit fruity as well. A nice bit of cedar comes out just past the halfway point of the stick, and touch of black pepper.
Right around entering the final third of this stick, there is an earthy woodiness that is ever so creamy that is making this last bit of the cigar especially enjoyable! A small bit of spicy and an almond flavor. A bit of the leather comes back out, as well as a bit of spice. Right before the end of the cigar, and I put it down, I get a nice taste of caramel!
This is an awesome cigar with complex flavor, and a great draw. Come get yours today, as supplies last!
